Queen Bast

Back then; Bast was Atem’s queen and only love. They loved each other very much and knew nothing will keep them separated. The two knew one another since they were babies. Bast was born a very weak baby. In fact, the medics said she wouldn't survive which left her mother Nubit in a devastated state because she already lost her husband, who died when he went with Aknadin to Kul Elna. But, when the pharaoh and his almost year old son Atem came to visit, the little prince somehow got the weak Bast to open her eyes and laugh. No one knows how it was possible but people think it was a miracle. Since then, Atem and Bast grew up together and eventually fell in love with one another.

It was said that Bast never wanted to leave Atem’s side even when he was about to seal away Zorc. This meant his memory would be wiped clean. Bast only retorts that she doesn’t care if she and her husband won’t remember each other, she would rather be by his side then be alone in Egypt until her life is given away. After this, Atem agrees and states he never loved her more than he did at that moment. When he sealed away Zorc, just as Atem predicted, his and Bast’s memories were wiped clean and their souls were sealed inside the Millennium Puzzle and Wand. Due to the queen’s wishes, the Wand was buried with the Puzzle as a represent of her love to the Pharaoh.

When they reunited as spirits of the Puzzle and Wand respectfully, they had no recollection of each other. Despite them both having no memories, they still have a feeling of longing for the other. As they spent time together, their feelings for one another started to surface once more.
