Birger lives in a classic suburban area in a small Tea and Bakery shoppe combo with the rest of his family. The makeup is pretty nuclear, as in it's him, his mother, father, and older half-sister. As such he has a part-time running the register on weekends and breaks when he doesn't have school. He perceives his life as pretty basic and boring... outside of the fact that he's from a universe where most everyone has powers of some sort. His included.

He has the power to consume people's dreams, both good, bad, and in between. Absorbing whatever energies that contain as nutrients for himself. He has a miraculous 100% conversion rate, which means he gains all of what he gets with no waste involved. The cost--and origin--of this, however, is that he is host to several miniature and foreign dream entities that have taken residence in a separate exclusive headspace of his. They go out and consume the dreams for him under pure animalistic instinct--so despite their cute appearance, these guys pack a punch and several ravenous teeth. As long as you're not a dream, though, you're pretty much safe from them going ape-shit
After his highschool years, Birg has luckily figured out how to control a majority of his powers so that he doesn't need to rely on them as much. 
His abuse of it while he was younger caused him to have more long-lived side-effects such as Hypothalamic Dysfunction-- which has caused him to have had delayed and more sudden growth spurts in later years, increased weight issues, and a sporadic appetite that can range from either being constantly hungry to having no appetite at all for days at a time--among other health issues but those listed are more visible and apparent symptoms he shows.

Personality wise; Birg's a fairly carefree individual on the surface. He enjoys the simpler things in life... like good vibes and hanging out with his friends! He's ultimately seen as a positive guy and one to come to when things are going south because he's always got something to cheer you up! He's a real gift-giver and will practically give his entire day and life to devote his time to someone in need. Though, this tends to be more of a curse for himself than a gift towards others because it tends to make him a bit clingy.
Underneath all his fluff and fuzz he's a bit insecure about how he's perceived by others both with his powers and lack of wit. He's fully aware he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed about most technical things, but tries to focus on what he's good at and leaves it at that. He used to have a fair bit of anger issues in the past about this subject but has since learned to not take everything to heart... that doesn't stop him from snapping initially before recovering and apologizing for 'jumping the gun' as he puts it, though.
