Canary is a human girl who wears a cat mask, though she doesn’t see herself as very human. She wears the cat mask around others so often that some people think that’s her actual face. Under the mask is an expressionless face and a monotone voice, but the cute smiling cat face on her mask gives the impression of a distinctly different, more cheerful and charismatic personality, despite her not making any changes to her speech or mannerisms. Canary has trouble understanding and expressing emotions as well as relating to her others, and sets out on a quest to understand her own species, which she finds both disgusting and deeply fascinating. Canary has an intense interest in figuring out how other people work.

• Canary was originally more or less born from quick vent art doodles, which is why the art style I draw her in is so simple and quick and different from all my other stuff.
• Originally her name was Milk, but then I watched RuPaul’s Drag Race and decided not to go with that.
