Reese's Links
He considers Marcy close family despite not being related by blood. They've known each other for years and he's always been there in her many times of need. He knows at times she needs to be independent and that she is very well old enough to take care of herself, though he can't help still but worry about her.
She is always welcome in his bar. If anything, he actually looks forward to her presence and misses her on nights where she is too invested in her research to pay him a visit.
He finds she brings a certain life to his bar that it was missing for years and for that he is incredibly thankful.
She sees Reese as a father figure or as a protective older brother. She appreciates the time he dedicates to helping her through hard times. Though she often worries she's a burden to him and tends to assume he doesn't want her in his bar at times.
She hopes to someday be able to pay him back for all his kindness............... and her ever-growing tab.
He deems Veles a very fitting match for Marcy, wholly capable of handling all her ups and downs alike in ways Reese was never able to understand himself.
He is fully aware that his tough exterior stirs a fear in Veles, and although he tries his best to ease that fear, he still wants him to know that he would stop at nothing if he dared to hurt Marcy.
Often intimidated by Reese and not very good at hiding it. Deep down, he knows Reese wouldn't hurt a fly, much less him, but the knows his close bond with Marcy puts him at risk of the man's anger should he break her heart.
Ultimately, fear aside, he respects Reese and appreciates all that he has done for his lover.
