The herd was in around the middle of their move when Soph, Yawn and Birch got lost. It all happened so suddenly - Soph was helping to get the pups across the water. Most could swim by themselves by now, but the water was rough and Yawn refused to cross on his own, so Soph was forced to waste a few moments stopping to get him. Those few seconds made all the difference - an earthquake struck, shaking the ground and making the river run violently. The was no time for anyone to grab Soph and Yawn to get her out of the river, and the was no-one looking to stop Birch diving in after her mother. All three survived, but were swept significantly far away. They now need to find their way home.
