Personality

Boar is a sour cat. It seems as if she’s never in a good mood. The she-cat is snappy to whomever she’s speaking to, and almost has nothing good to say about any cat. When she’s angry, she tends to take it out on other cats and the prey she hunts, and finds it hard to apologize for her actions, even if she feels sincere remorse.  She’s also extremely sarcastic, but she doesn’t socialize often. To her sisters, Boar is a bit more mellow and less insulting. She’ll defend them with her life, even if she’s just a hunter. Boar can take any insult a cat may spit at her, but if a cat even thinks a bad thing about either of her sisters, she will bite back at them. Underneath all her anger and sour mood, she’s just a she-cat desperately wishing for love and attention. She knows her preference of cats is one shamed upon, so she tends to shroud her softer feelings in hate and anger. Even the mention of love makes her sick, and seeing her sisters even speak to a cat who may be interested in them burns a fire of jealousy in her heart. Rose and Rat are accomplished, wonderful she-cats who have a bright future ahead of them, in her eyes, at least, which makes her wish she could’ve turned out like either of them, like-able and kind. Though she doesn’t admit it, she does care for others in The Guided Current. It’s always been her home, and she would never give it up. It may not seem like it, but Boar has a soft spot for legacies and young cats. It’s a gentler, more kind side of her that she spares for no one, besides legacies. She enjoys teaching them, and telling stories. Boar wouldn’t admit this to anyone, though.

History

Boar was born to Dazzling Sunflower and Barging Bear, with two siblings, Rose and Rat. Although she had a big family and plenty of cats to talk to, she struggled to socialize and relate to anyone, other than her sisters. As a legacy, she wasn’t a mean cat, but a quiet and kind one. She didn’t want to be antisocial, but she just wasn’t the most exciting cat to be around most of the time. When the time for her trials came, surprisingly, Boar excelled in her hunting skills that she really didn’t know she had, obviously being sorted into the Hunting Faction. Though, she was proud of her sisters being sorted into their respected factions. She found it ironic that they were so different, being sorted into three different factions. At the death of her mother, Dazzling Sunflower, at the paws of her own sister, Boar grew angry and hurt. She didn’t draw away from her family in her time of grief, but instead took out her emotions on them. She soon came to regret everything she did and said, but the damage was irreparable. Boar found herself becoming more consumed by regret and anger as the days went on, and she grew to be a more sour cat. She never blamed Rose or Rat for anything, but that didn’t get rid of the hurt she felt. For herself, for her mother, for her future. Boar became a bit kinder, given time to emotionally heal, but that didn’t change the fact that Boar had changed for the worse. As her sisters grew, she felt proud for them and their accomplishments, but there was always that twinge of jealousy, the want for the lives that they both led. No matter, this was her own life, her own mistakes. She wouldn’t really want to have it any other way.

Notes

  • Boar is a very big, muscular cat.
