Born to two yōkai parents that made their home in the human world, Ryuji has long been an appreciator of human culture and the earth itself—though he can't stand most of its human inhabitants. They're too judgmental, too uptight, too fussy; with this being the case, he loves to harass them and haunt them, tormenting them for his own amusement (though he'd never bring direct harm to any of them... unless they deserved it, that is).
Always looking vaguely tired or smug, his lackadaisical vibe serves as a coverup for his softer, more delicate underbelly. He's weak to flattery and kind words, though he'll adamantly deny this until his last breath. He's secure in his masculinity, but he just hates how pink he turns when he gets embarrassed—it makes concealing his true feelings harder than he likes, though his jacket does help a bit as long as he pulls up his collar and tucks his head down. He has a reputation as a tough guy to maintain, after all!

Nori
[ best friend ] These two are two peas in a pod—as close as they can be. Ryuji loves to hang out with Nori whenever the opportunity arises, and has been known to help them with their "business" on occasion (though never directly involved, too messy).
