July 28, 20. Aft is a large species that stands 8 feet tall or higher commonly called Orcs or Loomers. He's got big, floppy ears and long, outward curving upper canine teeth. There are two large plates on his chest called 'bolts' that sorta play in reproduction, but people don't know much about that, so it isn't considered weird for them to be visible. His tail is thick and prehensile with small nubs along its backside.

Aft lives in a weird dystopian-dystopian world where there is a system of incredibly strict rules in place that don't...really make sense. The main rule that every person has to follow is that they must walk on their long toenails as opposed to their feet. This is uncomfortable and unstable, as one might expect. You're not allowed to sit either (/lean on anything or generally take breaks of any sort). Punishment for walking properly results in immediate solitary confinement enforced by drones that prowl around. Other people have different rules that apply to them, usually one or two each. The most common one is that you're not allowed to touch x. Aft, for example, is only permitted to touch metal and nothing else (besides the ground). He can also see a heat map of where people have touched metal in a span of time (like a week). His other main rule is that he's not allowed to speak during the day, a common rule for Looms. People can tell what rules a person has to follow just by looking at them, which makes it super easy to tell when somebody's breaking them

Once night falls, temperatures drop rapidly, darkness falls, and wind starts to pick up. People have to shelter in tents, lest they'll be gone by morning. Thankfully, within tents, most rules do not apply. So Aft can speak and sit down at night, just not any other time

Orcs are often treated roughly by guards, which has a lot to do with the fact that guards are not Orcs and therefore much smaller. Despite all their armor and nightsticks, most get spooked

Most people prowl around the shells of cities that were from the dystopian part of dystopian-dystopian. Whoever was there first, believed to be the people who set all the rules into motion, didn't make it. Now, the places are weirdly quiet concrete skeletons. Guards linger around and usher you on after too long, so you kinda have to keep moving. The main system of transport is a trolley that lacks most of its walls. In place of seats, there's this metal bar that you can vaguely lean on, but it's uncomfortable like everything else. It's fairly dangerous to ride, as it's automated and won't stop for you. Holding on may or may not be against the rules depending on what you're allowed to touch

Spikes and Aft are part of a larger traveling group that navigates the city like everybody else. The two of them are going steady, which they're not totally sure is allowed? It's hard to say

(Aft was basically Bleeder with messed up feet in the dream, hence similarities)
