Iago

Despite his somewhat turbulent upbringing, he still behaves like a spoiled child, getting upset when things don't go the way he wants them to.

He has strange speaking patterns, like pausing at random points and adding "I think so" to the end of sentences. He was born with the ability to control people with his eyes, but he doesn't know how to use it.

A famed monster hunter duo was hired to slay a beast that was eating farmers in the countryside. One of the hunters shot a deer to use as bait, but when he went to move the carcass he noticed a strange bulge in the deer's stomach. He cut the deer open only to reveal a humanoid child inside, who they named Iago. They decided to adopt Iago, but they kept him secret from the townspeople in order to uphold their reputation as ruthless hunters. He was never allowed to leave the house and after being seen by a visiting client, was eventually confined to the 2nd floor. He eventually escaped and met Moira.

Monsters are very common and will usually eat whatever they come across depending on how hungry they are. Monster hunters are usually hired by towns or cities in order to get rid of monsters that have eaten multiple people. Some monsters look human, allowing them to blend in with human society, and can only be differentiated from a normal human by their strange speech patterns and ominous aura.
