had a dream about a boy that put an enchantment on his weird red winter boots to let him run and make huge jumps and do impossible parkour. witchcraft was common in this world so it didn’t really turn any heads, other than why wouldn’t he just fly around on a broom? (why didnt he pick a pair of tennis shoes rather than weird winter boots? dream logic smh).

also im not sure if it was just winter/cold that day or if witch boy just liked bundling up but i do remember that his clothing looked out of place compared to what others were wearing (many witches wearing the stereotypical black dress/hat combo, for example)

also ive been thinking of him/referring to him as ‘witch boy’ but incidentally the boy was actually a human that learned magic, rather than being an actual witch (male witches or just ‘wizards’ were kinda less common but did exist in this dream;  witches in general were still a seperate species from humans though). it is an important note that only witches could fly brooms in this dream so a human, magically trained or not, still has to get a little more creative if they wanna fly.

naturally this kid started to catch the attention of whatever actual witches that were closeby, since humans usually either can’t learn or aren’t interested in magic, or just find it too difficult (think alchemy from fma i suppose). so like, humans knowing magic is not a unique thing, but still not super common. probably a bit less common than wizards. so anyway  after somehow injuring himself/becoming ill/etc he was taken to a nearby witch nurse that was known for her skill in treating both witches and humans. since witch boy was using magic but didn’t have a broom on him, the passerby probably didn’t know which he was, witch or no, so went with the safest caretaker he could think of. but witches and humans have different medical needs even though they have a lot of physical similarities so the nurse had some trouble herself, because guessing wrong could be fatal for him. this was cleared up as soon as he was conscious enough to ask for a glass of water haha (water is poison to witches)

witch boy wasn’t particularly good at most types of magics other than enchanting objects, but he did have a penchant for having passive abilities in a few other areas, such as ‘a good intuition’ (passive clairvoyance/fortune-telling) and attracting dogs and doglike creatures (passive familiar-bonding?). towards the end of the dream a bunch of dogs (and ‘dogs’) came up to him, most notably this ugly-cute poodle-iguana-hybrid thing
