Pepper

Pepper is a Sushi Dog based on the carbonated soft drink, Dr. Pepper. He has a stout chibi-like build (similar to a Pomeranian) and is very small, only being around the size of a sushi roll (so a little over two inches!) His eyes are always closed. He has a red nose and somewhat heart-shaped paw pads. His ears are upright, with his right ear being slightly bent at the tip. He has little pointy fangs, retractable claws, a fluffy tuft of hair on his head, and a pair of small, black bat-like wings, giving him the appearance of a vampire. His fur is dark red (or carmine) with a white underbelly and face, black eyebrows, and red cheeks. He has a single red stripe across his muzzle and red and black stripes on his legs and ears.

Pep's neck fluff and tail are a wispy, carbonated substance, similar to the bubbles of soda. The fizz is completely edible and tastes just like Dr. Pepper. (But he doesn't approve of people trying to nibble him!)
When angry, his neck fluff and tail will fizz up and bubble. He will also growl and puff up his cheeks in an attempt to look bigger.

Pep can stand on his hind legs and walk, but he can only do it for a short amount of time. He has been getting better at it, though!

Like all Sushi Dogs, Pep has cheek pouches used to store and channel magic energy. They allow him to cast the basic magical abilities. His magic is also used as a form of self-defense.

Pep is genderless and will respond to any pronouns, but he prefers male!

Pepper wears a little black bandanna with a white swirl pattern around his front left leg. It is bound by powerful magic and cannot be untied or removed by physical force.

If wearing any form of clothing, Pep prefers designer jackets and hoodies in black and red colors. It's difficult for him to find custom clothing that fits his tiny size, though.

Pepper has his own magic powers revolving around air bubbles and carbonation. He can summon bubbles and use his powers to carbonate drinks. His magic is often used as a form of entertainment or self-defense instead of combat. He may use the bubbles to scare others off.

Like all Sushi Dogs, Pep also has basic magical abilities, including light "flight", speaking and understanding all Human languages, kinetic magic, and heightened senses.

He can also blow several bubbles as a form of entertainment or self-defense (like Bubble Beam from Pokemon.) The bubbles are mostly harmless; they are mainly used to distract his target(s) so that he can flee away. They either pop on contact or gather together to cause an effect similar to a very small smoke bomb.

• Pep can use his magic to summon bubbles or manipulate his surrounding air pressure.
• He can also use his powers to carbonate any drink or make containers explode.
• The bubbles are mostly harmless but can be clustered together to create a smoke bomb-like effect.

• Pepper can levitate above the ground and "fly" small distances using magic.

• Pepper can fly longer distances using his bat-like wings.
  (But he's usually too lazy.)

• In addition to Pep's first language, English, he can also understand and speak all other Human languages using magic.

• Pep can move small objects without touching them.

• Pep has a greater sense of hearing and smell.

Pepper, also known as "Pep," is a Sushi Dog who's all bark and no bite. He tries to maintain his tough guy act and does everything he can to appear bigger and intimidating. He's very vocal for someone his size, often hissing and growling, and would headbutt your toes. It's hard to look tough when the world only sees you as a small, adorable creature.

Pep doesn't like being called anything similar to "tiny" or "cute," and he especially hates words like "baby" as a nickname. He also doesn't enjoy being pat on the head or being leaned on. Doing any of that will ensure that he stays far, far away from you.
When angry or frustrated, he flaps his wings as a warning. His wings tend to be very expressive.

Once someone gets to know Pep, they'll find that he's actually really sweet and likes the attention. He doesn't like being alone. He'll often seek out others for companionship and will accept hugs, given that nobody else is around. He is always helping others behind the scenes and hides that fact to keep up his tough image. He's protective over the few friends he does have and would fight for them. He has a soft spot for children but would never admit it.

Pep isn't the most intelligent and isn't into reading, so he isn't a huge fan of anything that requires in-depth thinking, like puzzles or mind games. Of course, this doesn't mean that he's dumb - he's just not very book-smart. Being a fairy-like small dog creature who can translate any Human language, he never found a reason to read or go through advanced education. Stuff like that doesn't exactly help his role.

Pep can be rather mischievous and has a bit of a devilish laugh. His favorite holiday is Halloween. He uses his magic to scare people with bubbles and likes to play harmless yet slightly inconvenient pranks on people. (EX: moving furniture slightly, shuffling a mug to the other side of the table, flipping picture frames backwards, etc.)
He doesn't prank shy, quiet, or easily scared people, though. Doing so would be mean - and that doesn't make a very good prank.

Pep really loves carbonated soft drinks and anything similar. He pretty much runs on that sweet, sugary goodness. It's even better for him, because he can carbonate whatever he wants with magic. He thinks that slightly angry sparkling water is a sham, though. It's never sweet or flavored enough.

Pep is absolutely obsessed with the retro 80's aesthetic and fashion and dreams of living in a house full of it. He loves the flashy, bright colors and those colorful neon arcade carpet patterns. He also enjoys old arcade games. His favorite music genres are Vaporwave, Rock, and Electronic.

Pepper mainly lives on the Human world, Earth. He doesn't have a permanent home and wanders from place to place, seeking out Humans that need help and companionship. When he stays at someone's house, he'll hang out in some corner of the house and remain hidden there. He rarely reveals himself to Humans but will appear to other Sushi Dogs.

Through the power of Sushi Dog magic and AUs, Pep can also exist in other worlds.

Pepper is an original Sushi Dog created by The Great Soosh as an aid and companion to Humans and animals alike.

While Pep claims to be a young adult, he has possibly existed for much longer than that, as there are rumors that he first appeared during the 1980's.

He likely remains physically young and ageless due to magic - or maybe that's just how Sushi Dogs are.
