Calder - "rough waters"
Calder returned from the dead as a Diab at 17, however he continued aging until 20, where his appearance remains. Calder is very unique in the sense his soul is very old-he was alive during the Viking age. He was headstrong and unafraid, standing and fighting for his king. That is, until someone trying to usurp the throne sent warriors after the king's most loyal men, Calder included. The men severed his tail, leaving him heavily bleeding and weak. Then he was pushed into a strong current, where strong waves took him, and he drowned. As a Diab, he wonders if his mother had visions of his death, and gave him the name she did when he was born. At first upon returning he was terrified of water, but now he finds peace with it, feeling the presence of the Gods when he looks into the river and pond waters within the forest he resides.

Calder is a loner who lives alone in a small cabin in a thick forest. People from the nearby cities have seen him while on hikes and given him the nickname "forager" as nobody knows his name. when he sees people pass by who treat the forest with respect, he will silently let them pass. But if people are being disruptive, destructive, or otherwise disrespectful to the forest...he will scare them by piercing trees nearby with a bow and arrow, driving them out. This forest is very sacred to him, and sacred to the Gods. He'll do anything to protect it.
People in the cities and nearby country areas gossip and wonder if anyone's ever heard him speak.
Perhaps a lost trio of fellow Diabs can approach Calder, and change his tune...
