"Rena. Well... Serena Suzuki. Appearance: about 19. Gender: female. A quiet mute girl who seemed to have LOST ALL OF HER MEMORY. Which is pathetic because she's just afraid of remembering the past.. even though she comes with a friendly personality and a healed arm, she still can't do anything... right. pity." ~R-OBIN

♫    Profile

Name: Rena

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Height: 5'3" / 159.66 cm

Weight: 115 lbs / 52.16 kg

Division: Scout

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Status: Single

Preferences:

Someone taller than her who can help her reach the top shelf. She doesn't want or need anyone too overbearingly protective - she can protect herself and would prefer it that way. She would want someone who was nice to her and enjoyed just hanging out with a good book and cuddling on a couch or something of that sort. Making food with her is a plus. She wouldn't be the type to instigate a relationship, but if one were to be asked of her by someone she liked, she wouldn't say no. She's all for giving things chances.

Personality:

+ Quiet: She's mute, so naturally she's quiet.

+ Mysterious: She likes to keep whatever she's doing under wraps if it involves making things to make people more positive/upbeat and to cut down on fighting. She won't tell anything pertaining to her plans when it comes to venturing out and doing things on her own. This is her way of proving herself to everyone else, because she feels as though she should naturally be less valued due to her muteness and partial blindness.

+ Curious: She's normally exploring when she can. The surrounding area is huge, and she's convinced it's full of secrets.

+ Cheery: She likes to remain positive when she can, since she's convinced it will rub off on everyone else.

+ Agreeable: Tends to go with the flow to avoid fights. As long as the planned activity / whatever others want to do don't conflict with whatever she's thinking of doing, she'll obey and go for it.

+ Modest: Doesn't like to gloat over things she's done, and will often pretend she hasn't done anything.

- Distant: When you first meet her, she's very isolated from you and won't tell you much. However, as she gets more comfortable with you, she'll open up.

- Quick to anger: Please oh please don't make her mad. A quick way to do this is to mess with her friends - you're just asking for trouble there. This child is already really frustrated pls don't make it worse.

- Lacks common sense: She doesn't seem to grasp the idea that, if you wander off from people, they'll have to waste their time finding you. This is 99% harder when the person you're trying to find can't speak. Of course, she claps instead! Because that doesn't draw monsters or anything. (Sarcasm)

Likes:

+ Quiet areas: They're good for reading, writing, drawing, and planning super fun things to cheer everyone up!

+ Animals: Well, she did like animals. Now they're all weird.

+ Music: It helps her relax, and well, it's nice to hear something other than the hell that's around them sometimes.

+ Bakery goods: She'll literally bake sweets if there's materials around. She's the baking queen, although she lacks a lot of the common sense that goes with it.

+ Pranks: Beware to all in a 100 foot radius.

+ Spreading joy: She likes to make people smile. I mean, the world is hell rn.

Dislikes:

- Feeling weak and useless. She feels like a drain on resources - she's constantly getting hurt, and she often takes things to be her fault, even when they weren't necessarily that way in the first place.

- Loud noises (ie: Gunshots, bells, alarms, whistles). She'll deal with them though, but they might surprise / spook her.

- Not being able to remember personal things from the past. It annoys her greatly whenever people try to pry it out of her due to this. Nah bruh, I literally cannot remember at all what happened.

- Fears needles and any medical supplies. Would rather allow the wound to be infected and kill her than to get stitches
- Party poopers. They need to go sit in the bathroom for the entirety of the party instead of spreading their excrement of an opinion all over the place.

- Her right eye

- Her friends fighting

- Smoke, it gives her a headache and coughing fits. Namely, car exhaust and cigarette smoke. Doesn't like to stay around it for long. If she does end up being around it for prolonged periods of time, she will get irritable and try to leave at any excuse possible to avoid being snappy/mean. If she's forced to stay, she'll literally turn into the grouch monster with the worst headache on the planet.

Extras:

+ Mute, blind in her right eye, amnesiac

+ Weapons include a long dagger around her neck and small knives in her boot compartments [Unbeknownst to public]

+ She can write with either hand, although the writing with her left hand is a bit shaky.

+ Most often communicates with her phone instead of writing

+ If I do happen to put a stutter in her speech, it's her pushing a button more than once out of nervousness/anxiety/whatever.

+ When she's panicked or in a rush, she types in text speak. (i.e.: Txt, u, gtg, s2g, brb, etc.)

+ Doesn't remember her personal history.

+ Loves to strategize situations, enjoys doing things thoroughly and correctly, with a good plan.

+ Her barcode is on the white of her left eye.

+ Wouldn't care if she had an injury too much (well she'd cry a bit if it was major major but whatever) but as soon as someone gets a cut she tries to fix it.

+ If you ask her for something, she will happily oblige unless it involves her fears.

+ She would get upset if you teased her/was mean to her (but not like majorly unless it really struck a chord with her) but the second you say something mean about her friends she won't hesitate to punch you in the face as hard as she can. If she can reach it, that is.

♫    Background

Rena doesn't remember much of her personal history. She does know that she was in a car acident roughly 7 years ago that badly damaged her right eye and tore her vocal folds. Her father and mother didn't quite get along, resulting in a divorce when she was 14. She was born and raised in the United States, but her father moved to Japan after the divorce. She remembers that she recieved her phone when she was 12 years old and has loved it ever since. She refused to buy phones that weren't rivoka-brand. She'd been visiting her father in Japan as the bomb dropped, killing everyone in the vicinity. Or so she thought.

"Would you like to live?"

She stared at the screen of her phone, confused. Wait, what was going on? She clicked yes, still disoriented. This scenario seemed familiar to her, for some reason, but she didn't quite know why. Maybe it'd been one of those deja vu dreams people had.

She awoke in what seemed to be a rather clean room, and as she stood, she noticed something small glinting at her feet. She knelt down, picking it up. ...A mirror? She glanced herself over. To her shock and dismay, she found that her right eye looked different... Was that a barcode? How did that even get there? She shook it off. That was the least of her worries at the moment.

She glanced around, watching as the room's appearance shifted to that of a forest. What was going on? This simply had to be the afterlife - there was no other way to explain what was happening. She examined the area, letting her gaze flicker from tree to tree as she felt her phone buzz in her pcoket. Now, that was definitely not right. She slipped her hand into her pocket, pulling out her phone and finding a message prominently displayed on the home screen.

"Welcome back."

♫    Current

During the rescue mission, Rena was grabbed by an android and was left with gouges and bruises on her right hand. She also suffered quite a bit mentally due to not only seeing Aoi's eye ripped out, but also due to her big brother figure's leader's incident which lead him into a coma. It was a good thing she couldn't talk in the first place, because she didn't really feel like interacting with anyone for a while after this. However, they'd apparently saved an android, and curiously this one seemed nice. Maybe she'd get to know him a little. She takes pictures of the sky every day, along with whatever fun things they did without him and puts them next to Keizo's bed since she feels that he should be able to see all the days he's missed when he finally wakes up.

----------

During the high school fiasco, Rena was sound asleep. Her place was taken by an android look-alike, who successfully convinced one of her friends  into trusting her. When Pik made the mistake of angering the robot, it ended his life. She still feels horrible over this and will cry if Pik or Akiva are mentioned to her. She is, however, very thankful that her look-alike didn't hurt Masaru as well.

----------

During the Run, Hide, and Seek mission, Rena bravely fought off some zombies, although their appearance was totally her fault, seeing as she let the first one out of one of the rooms. Being in a creepy, run down hospital didn't help, but at least they found medicine. Masaru kept joking with her about butt itching treatments, even in the middle of fighting the zombos. What a good friend. She was the first to jump out the window in order to escape and landed with a bit too much force on her right arm and it is bruised badly. It is broken and will take a month to heal.

----------

During the Matsuri, Rena entered the haunted house with the rest of them, but it ended up being far more than anyone had bargained for. Lillie showed up and started picking them off one by one, and it ended with Rena, Haji and co. being caught up in an explosion that Lillie caused with Kin's grenades. This left Rena with burn scars all along her back and the back of her legs. Haji partially shielded her from the blast, so the damage isn't as bad as it could've been. On the second night of the event, she followed the rest of the group with Haji to go track down Lille and talk with her. As they were attacked by sentient plant roots, she cut her way out, landing on her already injured arm and breaking it. The healing process has restarted, setting her back even more than she'd already been. Watching the fireworks at the end of the festival with Kioshi was fun, though.

----------

During the Auction, Rena was bound in shackles. R-obin somehow knew her full name, although she's not quite sure if he was correct on that. Of course, the name did sound as though it could've belonged to her... If the trauma of seeing her teammate's ear cut off, another's finger severed, and her friend's arm shattered hadn't done her enough damage, then what R-obin did to her took the cake. He did nothing to her physically, but she will forever have to live with the pain of getting not one, but two of her friends killed, with one of which being the beloved older brother figure Kin. Any time she sees her burn scars, she thinks of him, but she dares not cover them up. She'll never forget either of them, but especially not him. She was made to choose between Aline and Kin for who was to die, seeing as how R-obin perceived her to be the great equalizer. However, she hadn't desired to give him this satisfaction. Instead of pointing to Kin or Aline, she pointed at R-obin himself and sunk one of her (not confiscated) knives into his chest. Unfortunately, it hadn't been enough. She has suffered several fractured ribs and severe bruising due to the force of R-obin's kick, along with the mental trauma derived from getting not one, but two peopled killed. R-obin was correct - she couldn't ever do anything quite right, and his words still echo in her mind, leading to a lack of confidence and an increased isolation from others that was otherwise uncharacteristic of her.
