Elijah's an incendiary and works with bombs as well. Although he takes a little care as to not let his identity be publically known, he does have a sense of extravagance that makes him always leave the same signs that mark the crimes as his authorship.
I dedicate myself so that every work I do is a sublime work of art.
The morbid sense of humor Elijah possesses makes his crimes truly recognizable. He tries to avoid executing his fires when there's people in the buildings - but isn't against doing so when the situation is inevitable or when he meets particularly cruel people (that he knows of) that happen to be in the scene.
He works with contracts too, but hesitates to do so, because he isn't always allowed to abide by his trademark signatures depending on the client.
When he's not burning things to the ground, Elijah works as a mechanic at his late foster father's office.
