Summary

Yuki was born and raised in the Khangai Mountains of Mongolia. She was raised carrying a heavy burden from her ancestors. She was expected to do great things and pave new roads for herself and her family. Being a descendant of Genghis Khan and Khutulun, his granddaughter three times removed, would be a heavy burden for anyone. Being a descendant of the last warrior princess gave Yuki very large shoes to fill.

Due to the constant pressure from her family to do amazing things, Yuki started rebelling. She did not want to carry on her family’s legacy of conquering. She simply wanted to take care of the numerous horses her family inherited over the centuries due to Khutulun’s wrestling matches she never lost. She also wanted to live a carefree life and simply have fun. She did not want to use her extensive knowledge of combat training as she had no interest in fighting.

Yuki had lost many brothers in combat. The most recent loss was her youngest brother that she had the strongest relationship with. Before leaving, he gifted Yuki with a cat medallion that reminded him of her. This medallion is now Yuki’s prize possession. She wears it everywhere she goes.

Yuki is still lost in life. On one hand, she does want to make her family proud and honor her lost brothers, on the other hand, she just wants to be her own person. She never even thought about what profession she would want to do as her life was already mapped out for her. Being the only female descendant didn’t give her a lot of choices.
