The king of Hell himself. Satanas personally takes care of most aspects of Hell's governance; he's the main person who analyzes and assign sins to people who have died and been sent to Purgatory, where they are put on a waiting list. However, his magic is so powerful that it allows him to have many different "copies" of himself all at the same time to be able to keep up with all the sinners' deaths and punishments. He also has other ancient, high-ranked demons, the Princes of Hell, do the rest of the legwork that he doesn't have the time to handle.
Due to how much work he has to do and how long he's been doing it, on top of how much magic it takes to even do it in the first place, he's extremely tired all the time and has almost no time to spare for himself. The last time he had free time, he met a beautiful Lust demon and started dating her or something. It's not clear if he is actually capable of falling in love, though. They later had a son together, named Shock, but the pair had a falling out and as a result, the Lust demon left him and his son. She does come visit Shock very very rarely, though.
Satanas is blunt and cold, but he can be very persuasive and charismatic when he wants to. He's just a perpetually exhausted single dad. His son Shock is his entire world and so he is very protective of xim, nervous to let xim explore Hell on xis own. Unlike lesser demons, who usually appear as they did living as humans although with horns, Satanas' skin is gray, and he also possesses every colour of horn. He is capable of every kind of demonic magic, and his aura is the most potent of all the inhabitants in Hell, capable of stunning anyone just by being around them. The only ones who come close are the Princes of Hell, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and, to a slightly lesser extent, Shock. He doesn't ever leave his abode, though.
Satanas and his son Shock, as well as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Princes of Hell, all live in their own level of Hell, which is just a massive, dark, empty black castle.
