Lament

He often wants others to see him. He's practically a ghost and can't entirely control his visibility. He is mainly visible to those who have seen others die (though the doctors say it's schizophrenia or drinking/drugs to blame). 

Cursed during his life (and partly due to his evil deeds), he is now doomed to wander the planes of existence, unable to reach eternity in paradise. 

He typically follows Torro around as Torro's the only one who seems to see him. Newt can only hear him and occasionally glimpse his shadow (he has only seen small animals die such as garden birds). Though Newt cares about him just as much. They visit the National Parks often. Lament enjoys Vero Beach, especially at night. 

He was given the gift (a gift from God) of crafting portals to get around Earth quickly. This gift was given to him due to his growth as a person/ghost.
