♘ An aasimar paladin. Lawful good at best, lawful neutral at worst. He was born with a sense of purpose and pompousness, given the high status of his perceived lineage, and he dedicated his life to typical paladin duties. He joined an elite order of knights and worked his way up, despite his lack of dedication towards teammates and rather noncommittal attitudes towards his fellow paladins. Thus, when he was kidnapped and held as a hostage, his knights did not put much effort into searching for him, and it was only because of the efforts of the PC party was he saved.

Caden was pretty shaken after this, and promptly left the group of paladins. However he still kept to his aloof attitude, along with his disdain for tiefings that only originated from his lineage. He grew to have a grudging respect for the talented Keto, however he was always wary of Keetes, the bumbling tiefling who couldn't be trusted with even a wooden spear. Eventually, he takes up a sort of guardianship over Keetes, constantly hovering around him and making sure the tiefling doesn't get himself into any trouble. It eventually turns into a relationship, as Caden learns to overcome his prejudices and recognise that his sense of disdain was only from his own mind.
