Profile

"She was filled with a perverse sort of rage, unreasonable and filling her to burst. It pounded against her like an immovable object, though she was an unstoppable force; the contents of her body were under such pressure that she could explode like glass and watch the shrapnel of her form embed itself into the walls. Years of being pushed into the corner have shaped her into a mass of hatred, a body of loathing: she has always been the monster under her own bed."
Name: Faulty
Notable Powers: shapeshifting, body manipulation
Universe: Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning [heavily modified]
Romantic Interest: The Principal of the Thing
Theme: Three Days Grace — Just Like You

Attributes to note: She hides one eye underneath her hair due to it being completely black. The eyesocket is filled with a liquid called 'pitch', resembling tar in colour and viscosity. Her visible eye turns to pitch when she makes intense modifications to her body or expends her energy greatly while manipulating her form. Her body modifications are created using said pitch, and she can change minute details of her body and appearance using her ability.

Zero wasn't particularly liked by the students and staff of Lakewood Boarding School.

She was found alone, orphaned at a very young age, without a mother or father in sight. She had lived at the boarding school her whole life, but her unusual condition alienated her from the rest of the children — after all, how many kids walk around with a pitch black eye?

Despite the school's prestigious reputation, the aspiring alumni were far from kind to Zero. She found herself kicked, punched, shoved, and bullied nearly every day of her life... until she began to fight back.

At some point, she had decided enough was enough, and began to adapt. With her strange "birthmark" came an incredible power to shapeshift; to twist and distort her form into anything she could imagine, formed as a result of her need to protect herself. She used it to fight back, to retaliate — and to get into indescribable amounts of trouble.

Even so, one can only get caught in schoolyard fights so many times. After breaking a student's rib (even if he deserved it), she was expelled from Lakewood and transferred elsewhere. With her stash of bet money and what little belongings she had, she was left with no choice but to pack up and get on the bus to... Here School.

"What's your name?"

She looked down at the child standing in front of her locker: short, coily hair, a red dress, both ends of a jumprope clutched in each hand. Her smile was innocent and well-meaning, and Zero remembered the last thing her former principal had said to her as she left his office.

"You're not a bad kid, Zero. You're just a little bit..."

"Faulty. ...My name is Faulty."

"...Good morning, Faulty," the Principal of the Thing looked up calmly at her, watching her take her usual seat in front of his desk.

"Mornin'. Kinda early, huh? This is probably a new record, right?" She kicked her feet up on his desk, and he turned to the side to briefly ruffle through a stack of papers.

"Oh, I'm not sure... you still might not have beaten last month. I had to call you down within 5 minutes of class, for... breaking the Bully's nose."

"Ohhh, right, right... yeah, no, he deserved it. And he deserved it this time, too! He was trying to tell me that I wasn't doing the math right, but—"

"—So you twisted his arm and bruised his shins?" He raised an eyebrow at her, and she blinked back.

"...Well, what else was I supposed to do?"
