Churro is the core that holds the universe from shattering. If he were to be completely removed from the Mind's Eye, the dimensions would begin to rapidly collapse. If he was destroyed, the universe would also cease to exist.(thankfully killing him isn't the easiest task) So, to put it simply, if you mess with The Core, you end the world.

Churro appears to have at least some level of sentience.
