Kathryne Ludovi seemed to have a normal childhood and happy upbringing for most of their childhood, until she stumbled upon her family's dark secret of demon worship. When she wandered up to the attic late at night, she found her father conversing with a Demon. Kathryne was quickly chastised and ran off, but the demon had already taken an interest in her. The demon compelled her father to curse her, corrupting her mind and distorting her sense of reality. The next time Kathryne Ludovi met up with their close friend and neighbor, Alice, her thoughts would be consumed by paranoia. She began to believe Alice was the demon, and was invading this world and corrupting her mind. Kathryne killed her in defense, and vowed to kill all of the "Alice's" invading this world. 

When Kathryne's father found out, he covered up Alice's death and introduced his daughter to the demon, telling her it was God. "God" the demon confirmed Kathryne's paranoia and delusion that it was causing, and told Kathryne that they must slay all of the Alice's, even though it will turn her into The Ultimate Alice, at which point she must kill herself to close the door between the demon and mortal dimension. Kathryne believed him, and killed her parents to prove her commitment to this cause.

Alice has been living on the streets in hiding, going after anyone who triggers the demon's curse. Her body has become thin and frail, but inhumanly dexterous and acrobatic. They find themself succumbing to a number of paranoias from the curse, including the belief that their head will fall off if they do not tie it down, causing them to give herself a DIY corset piecing around the neck. They also believe that anyone who hears them speak will die, so she tends not to talk to anyone she doesn't intend to kill.

One of her killings happened to be the sister of Jagged. Jagged is involved with another demon, who is using him to carry out sacrifices. Jagged vows revenge on Alice for killing his sister, and cuts her arm off. He intends to sacrifice her to his demon, but Alice's demon protects her, possessing his body and forcing him to eat the arm instead of using it to summon his demon. He is now corrupted by both demons, and allows Alice to remain present in his secret woodland cabin where he does his sacrifices. He really hates her, but isn't able to permanently harm her again because of the trauma of having to eat her arm makes him too scared to. Alice takes advantage of his fear by constantly pestering him to try torturing killing her again, knowing he wants to and can't.
