Chi is a carnivorous sheep, a genetic anomaly that's a result of having a hybrid parent. Hybrids are often unable to breed, which leads to them being looked down upon in society, and are frequently bullied by their peers.
Chi has been used to not fitting in since his youth, always being "too much" and "weird". Feeling that no one would understand them, they wished upon a star one day to "just be normal". The wish was answered by Faculae, a mischievous demi-god, who appeared to insist its much more worthwhile to be strange. The two have been close ever since.
