Profile

  • Suki's dragon
  • Completely sapient
  • coexists with the Clan of Air
  • Dies when the air is wiped out

Idreas was the partnered dragon to Suki. The clan of the wind has been partnering with the dragons for many years, and the magic of dragons and technical advances of the clan have bettered both parties. Partnered dragons and riders are ritualistically selected when they both come of age, and are brought up in the same schooling until then. They are magically bonded, and their souls are entwinned. The pairs can survive without each other, but will become physically and mentally weaker as a result, and re-bonding with a new partner is extremely rare and only done in important cases (ex. A high ranking military member loses their partner and HAS to be re-bonded to continue service to the clan because no one else can take their place).
Suki had been brought up to fulfil the position of Admiral, and when it came his turn to start training and be partnered, Idreas and Sukis eyes both glowed brightly and changed from their respective colors to bright blue, a sign of a powerful bond that'll greatly increase both of their power.
The two worked together with bonded souls for many years, until the Dragon War broke out. Idreas and Suki refused to battle against each other and watch their families tear each other apart and planned to escape together. They flew off into the sky together, but Idreas was shot down into the sea. He used his dying body to shield Suki, who managed to escape to a new life, but was badly injured and amnesiatic.
