Miriam

• Middle child of a very powerful family, older and younger siblings are objectively better than him
• His parents gave him a fully staffed mansion in the middle of nowhere on the condition that he would please please never leave the house
• Obsessed with trying to eat literally every thing, like, eats a food and then eats the plate it was on and then eats the table and then the chef
• Does magic to not literally die of eating that much
• Obsessed with his newest chef who is somehow still around even after being eaten a bunch of times

Miriam is the middle child of a wealthy and powerful family. His older and younger siblings are all geniuses and prodigies in their own right, contributing greatly to the betterment of their society. Miriam is the family disappointment. While he has great skill in a number of things, he was never recognized on the same level as his magnificent siblings.
Miriam grew tired of trying to impress people, and began to indulge in exotic and expensive foods as a way to cope. His over-indulgent behavior only increased his parents disappointment and harsh criticism, which only spurred Miriam on to begin eating stranger and more vile things. He became obsessed with eating anything and everything, regardless of edibility or morality. After eating one too many priceless artifact and castle servant, he was exiled from the family castle and country, forced to live isolated in a mansion in the woods. His family staffed the mansion with Ephemeral servants, ghosts, ghouls, and spirits, so the staff doesn't have to be constantly replaced.
Miriam began becoming ill and injured from some of the inedible things he's eaten, and in seeking a magical solution for this he met Amezcala. Amezcala's is an Eldritch Fiend, unable to be permanently damaged or feel pain, and able to live eternally and regenerate endlessly. Amezcala was entertained by Miriam, and decided to become his chef as well as his meals, as eating Amezcala's body passes on a portion of their abilities to him. They plan to help Miriam achieve the impossible task of tasting every single flavor in the world.
