Suckertons parents were renowned monster hunters, who raised him to follow their legacy. The cared more about the money than the job. They involved succ in it from a young age, and were physically abusive when he, as a child, messed up a job and cost them money. Suckerton is hyperempathetic  so killing monsters really wasn't his deal. He's always loved and respected nature. When he became old enough to voice this opinion, he was repeatedly tortured by his parents. When he refused to do a job, he would either be charmed into doing it or would be retrained, taken on the job, and put under the effects of fear while his parents slaughtered monsters in front of him. He has scarring from prolonged exposure to fear. Once, he tried to flee a job and struck directly with magic missle, scarring his left side.

Suckerton is a trans nb boy, and his parents totally did not like that. He has low bodily dysphoria, but very high social dysphoria as a result of abuse.

Suckerton was often kept in isolation and restrained when he wasn't working. Because of this, he is hypersensitive to bright lights.

Suckerton escaped his parents while on a job. He was “willingly” participating in a job with his parents and younger sister, who had a better childhood than him at his protection. She wasn't as physically strong as the rest of her family, and needed his protection from monsters and their parents. On the job, he saw an opportunity to run while everyone was monster killing, and did. He saw the monster go after his sister right before he left. He left her, unsure of if she made it out of that fight or not. He regrets this every day.

He had no idea what to do when he was away, he had very little idea of what society is like. He spent a good several years just trying to live around people and was wayyy bad at it. He's unintelligent and uncharismatic. However, he found out that hes really fuckin good with animals, and also loves fucking monsters. During a time when he had nothing to live for, he found religion in the god of the Abyss, because he was like “giant cursed hole in ground? Oh, mood. Full of prime monsterfuckin? Oh, new religion!” He has spent his life since then trying to make it to oath so he could get tf into that big ditch.
