Eden

Eden Buhrneel was born in 39 BBY to two Twi’leks. Like most Jedi, she did not have the chance to get to know them, and was taken at the age of three to the Jedi Order. Her bubbly personality and cheerfulness earned her significant popularity among her peers, and she ascended to one of the top students in her class, earning a pink lightsaber.

Several years later, Eden met Tazzi, a nervous yet intelligent hybrid who was often the subject of ridicule by their classmates. Eden approached her and helped her study for an important test in the library, both of them passing with flying colors. After that, they became best friends. Soon after, they were both taken as padawans, with Eden becoming the student of Jedi Master Mace Windu.

Until the age of 20, Eden trained as a padawan, going on missions with her master and her friends, working closely with Tazzi in particular. She also became close to padawans Ahsoka Tano, Barriss Offee and Caleb Dume. As Tazzi ascended to knighthood, Eden pestered the other masters into approving her to take her trials. Finally, Mace Windu relented, and she spent time in the temple training for them. Before she had the chance, Order 66 was executed, and Eden narrowly escaped from the Jedi Temple and tried to forget about the past, due to grief over the losses of her friends and master.

Eden spent her time as a nomad, living off of the land on the planet Alderaan, but was struggling to hide and prevent being hunted down by the Empire. After two years of running, at the age of 22, she was discovered by Tazzi and taken to Felucia. Eden was surprised to find that her friend had created a small sanctuary for Jedi survivors, and kept the sanctuary running as Tazzi took jobs as a bounty hunter with her partner, Embo. It was there that Eden met Srihn’vaq, a Twi’lek and former Jedi Knight, who Eden quickly fell for.

While Tazzi and Embo were off-world, Srihn’vaq decided to take Eden out for a flight around Felucia and confess his feelings for her. Although she happily reciprocated them, they returned to find the sanctuary being attacked. She and Srihn’vaq were forced to leave after the Jedi were killed, and contacted Tazzi to let her know what happened before going into hiding once more. Eden fell into a depression, feeling guilty for the deaths of their friends, and wanted to return to Ryloth to find her family. With Srihn’vaq’s help, they discovered that they had been farmers, but her parents had died years ago. However, they left Eden to inherit their farm should she ever return, so she and Srihn’vaq kept low profiles and tended to her family’s old farm.

A few years later, she came back in contact with Tazzi, who had joined the Rebel cause and sought Eden’s help. For the next several years, Eden aided Tazzi and the Spectres in gathering intel, although she and Srihn’vaq did not want to get directly involved, and wished to keep a peaceful life. Srihn’vaq even proposed to Eden, and they married in 5 BBY. From then on, Eden spent her days as a farmer, keeping her birth family’s legacy alive and finally achieving the happiness she had been looking for since the fall of the Jedi Order.

• Her talents in the Force are primarily in empathy - she is very skilled in reading emotions and intentions. During the days of the Republic, Eden was frequently brought in to aid in interrogations.
• Eden’s Hogwarts house is Hufflepuff, and her alignment is Neutral Good.
• She seems to be immune to cold - Eden rarely ever feels cold, and has been used by her friends as a “personal heater.”
• She is extremely outgoing and loves talking to people, but prefers to live in the country. She greatly prefers rural Ryloth to Coruscant.
• Her voice is slightly lower-pitched, but girlish - her laugh is very contagious, as well as her smile.
