Iris can be found most times sitting in the grass and reading, or daydreaming absentmindedly. A soft and studious girl, Iris keeps a low profile. Her first nature is always to run from any conflict, but she rarley gets into any conflict she feels she has to run from. Iris is something of a perfectionist, and she is very keen on doing well in her classes. To some, Iris could seem like a teacher's pet or suck up, but Iris really just wants to do well and learn. Her non-confrontational-to-a-fault nature can rub some people (Jayden especially) the wrong way, and it seems that she is always being pushed to live slightly out of her comfort zone. Iris would enver admit to it, but she appreciates the push.

While Iris' interactions with her mother are polite, Iris would rather they be fewer and farther in-between. Her strained relationship with her mother is a result of her divorce with Iris' father, Roderick. In Iris' eyes, Camille has always seemed to resent her, and Camille will frequently go out of her way to interject herself in Iris' life so as to push people away from her. Iris' mother made the decision on her behalf to send her away from her previous high school to an all-girls boarding school, without Iris' knowledge until the last minute.
Iris' relationship with her father is very loving, however, she does not get many chances to see him. When Roderick and Camille divorced, Roderick had very recently been laid off, and as a result, Camille gained almost sole custody of Iris. Iris gets to see her father on weekends once every month or so, and he is very supportive of her endeavors. Like Iris, Roderick is an artist, and although he does not live off much, he always finds the means to scrape by and make every weekend Iris has with him enjoyable. When Roderick learned of Iris' school change, she had already been transferred to the Hollis Academy For Girls. Unfortunately, Hollis resides across the state from the city where Roderick and Camille live, so Iris spends even less time with her father than she previously did.
