Sage's band was a group of 5 animatronics at a small arcade establishment, an attempt at copying Fazbear Entertainment's success in multiple ways. They started with two animatronics, Annie Songbird and Ethan the roadie, but had to buy another as customers complained of Annie malfunctioning. The owner kept buying more to compete with Fazbear and manage customer complaints, working up to a full band of five before it was too much to handle.
The arcade was inevitably run out of business, and Fazbear bought up the animatronics to add to their own line-up at the Mega Pizzaplex. Now, adding six whole animatronics would be a lot to manage. So, to save on space while keeping all the "beloved" characters active, the band was taken apart and rebuilt into the One-Man Band. It seems like something went wrong in the process, though, as the animatronic was left with no functional eyes. Maybe it has something to do with the old arcade owner who got hired to work maintenance.
Sage has a small stage to herself, filled with instruments and props, and watched over by Ethan, the other revamped animatronic from the old arcade. Her act consists of taking suggestions from the audience, for songs or improv scenes. It's not very popular, either because of her unsettling empty eye sockets or because the theater is so tucked away. The only children that come to watch are those that delight in watching her fumble around and try to play 5 parts at once.
if it isn't clear, this is an Ennard situation, each of the old animatronics had a soul in it, and all 5 got transferred into Sage. she's super haunted. dont ask me how all the different faces and ears fit in there.
