he hates everyone except his horse. his horse is good b/c it doesn't talk and (usually) does as he's told. owain is his best friend but he usually hates him b/c he's fucking obnoxious. talented archer and hunter, avoids combat at most costs. will become crazed in a beserker-like state at the sight/smell of blood, especially his own. gets angry easily and lashes out at others, in particular if his name is used. very few people know his name (owain + maybe two others) and he is generally very secretive of it as it previously was used to magically control him. avoids people and prefers to live out in the wilderness by himself, ignores and denies any feelings of loneliness. quiet and overall grumpy most of the time.

later meets camila, an equally old and very talented witch. one of the only people he genuinely cares for and is happy to be with all the time. extremely protective of her and will consistently, and often needlessly, put himself into harms way in defense of her even though she quite capable fo defending herself.

powered by sunlight, sort of like a battery. the energy he aborbs powers him and his magic. magic is largely dependant on his emotions (especially towards the target. ie healing someone he doesn't like very much wouldn't do much). becomes very tired after the sun sets and cannot see much of anything, or keep himself warm unless he's by fire. very miserable during the winter as the majority of the energy he abosrbs from the sun goes towards keeping himself warm. would usually stay w/ owain during the winter, up until he met camila who can keep their small home quite warm with her magic.
