Tauno Leyvaris

At first glance, Tauno doesn't look like much, and he likes it that way. He stands at 5'6 with tanned skin covered in pale freckles. What stands out most is his hair, a dark mass of curls that rest a couple inches above his shoulders and almost cover his brown eyes. What can be seen of his face is a near-permanent sour expression, with eyes half-lidded and lips turned to a frown. The young wolf dresses in baggy clothes to hide his skinny frame, and he typically goes for dark, earthy tones to not stand out.

Tauno's wolf form is a stark contrast to his human appearance. Silver-white fur colors most of his body, with darker hues along his back. His ears, muzzle, and tail tip are a bold black. The wolf's eyes are a bright gold, inquisitive yet cautious. Similar to his human form, as a wolf he isn't very big or very strong. He relies more on long, swift legs and nimble paws for quick movements. Tauno's coat is often scruffy-looking or a bit dirty due to forgetfulness and other worries taking priority.

Tauno carries himself with caution, a little bit of teenage awkwardness, and a quick mind with an even quicker tongue. Around others, the wolf is wary but not submissive. He is quick to become defensive, almost standoffish, and during a tense situation he often forgets to think before he speaks. Tauno is confident in his own abilities in judgement, so that no matter how many times he gets in trouble, he can always find a way out of it. He young wolf hides it, but he has a genuine interest in figuring out how things work, from intricate machinery, the growth of plants, to how far he can push another's buttons. His curiosity is almost childlike. He finds comfort in nature and silence, especially during winter. Cold, quiet snowfall is a welcome change to the loud and crowded cities he spent his youth in.

The wolf is set on being a permanent loner. He's grown up and survived fine without a pack, and he will continue to thrive without one. He feels he's better off in the background, away from the light, sitting and watching the rest of the world turn. Better off forgotten than missed. Maybe he'll never join a pack again, but his time with Reon and Raste has made him realize that company might not be so bad after all.
