About
Inke the octopus is my long-awaited Sonic OC, 'cause cringe is dead. She was made in response to my disappointment that Mimic in the Sonic comics had such a cool design, but he didn't have a beak which I thought was weird for a cephalopod design. I might never have the chance to use her but I like her design regardless.
Appearance
Inke is an octopus whose physiology makes just as much sense as any other creature in Sonic canon. She has slit pupils that allow her to see a wide frame and a beak with fangs. She has four arms (tentacles) on top of her head as well as two arms and legs, making for a total of eight appendages. She is not based on any particular kind of octopus, except for the "ears" on top of her head that are reminiscent of a dumbo octopus. Suckers on her hands and feet help her climb and stick to things, and her body is covered with chromatophores that allow her to change the color of her skin at will. She is also relatively tall compared to other characters in-universe.

Backstory / Personality
Inke is a bit of a free spirit who doesn't tend to stay in one place for too long. She sees herself as a vigilante who travels from place to place solving the problems of others. Usually though, there's no real "heroic" work for her to do, so all of her vigilante justice tends to include mundane things such as garbage collecting. Inke wants to be seen as cool; therefore, she puts on a persona and dresses in a way that she thinks will impress people and convince them of her coolness.
Although she is well-meaning and enjoys her life on the road, her parents worry about her and hope that she will eventually settle down and find a stable job.
