Reflections In Glass

Overall Status: Poor but stable.

Visible Physical: Structure detonated and collapsed. Puppet unclothed, missing an arm, cracked forehead screen and weather erosion. Appears constructed for strength. No visible accompanying neurons.

Hidden Physical: His consciousness is still attached to his facility, neurons hosted inside. His puppet is remotely controlled via radio waves limiting how far he can travel before connection loss. Coming apart faster than he can repair himself.

Mental: Has become 'feral' and slipped into a survivor's mindset, stress and desperation turning him aggressive. Though still gentle natured, is not above killing or double-crossing to live another cycle.

Glass is an architect class iterator, made not only support the needs of the ancients living on his superstructure but also to offload the design and building of (initially just vital) infrastructure on himself and the surrounding areas. He was commissioned by the same hegemonic despot that had Reflective Purposes made, as one of the first of her local group. There was not much thought involved in his creation, he was planned as pretty much a pet goldfish-but-also-a-city for  before his purpose shifted as his commissioner realized they would quickly run out of money and prestige hiring people to build all these unneccesary structures. So after being made with all the standard hardware he was flooded with state of the art engineering programs, access to building rovers, assigned as a pupil to the Academies of Architectonics, and his structure bloated with a boatload of minor modifications. Unfortunately the latter of which means that despite his robust appearance and being built of very strong materials, under the hood his facility is a patchwork mess, the extent of which is hard to tell.

Glass is pretty down to earth as far as iterators go. Relaxed, pensive, sometimes philosophical but altogether quite chill. Even his puppet isn't really that fancy, no bright colors or ornate designs other than the glass display on his forehead, though his body plan is a bit more solidly built for 'manual work' (he was not expected to actually walk though, or need to look nice which gave him a... strange shape)
Unfortunately as a result he's got a bit of a background character complex both among the ancients and the local group.
From the get go, the ancient who commissioned him did not care about him. He was only a means to an end, and they saw little to parental obligation. Even to his actual creators he was little more than a means to comfortable life and personal glory until their time to leave the world behind came- the only ones to see beyond his use as a tool being the academics meant to watch him.

Though he watches his more decadent siblings with some resentment at the favoritism their 'parent', ironically, being left to mostly his own devices made him one of the best adjusted iterators of Purposes's group. He is also one of few to genuinely enjoy being lived on and managing his inhabitants, as one of his few sources of companionship, dubbing the living blocks on his surface the White City as he tried to make himself a bastion of the arts and engineering (only to find himself curiously and routinely sabotaged or scorned whenever he tried to impress the hegemonic dynasty or his fellow local group with it...hm.)

No matter how brilliant his work and how resplandecent he made his small city, everything amounted to the vainglorious Ancient who ordered him built patting themselves on the back and ordaining new projects. After all, that iterator is doing an excellent job. Why hire an actual expert to design them a luxury tower? Or a water park? Or to survey the surface for more places to build more iterators...

Over time, Glass found himself more and more busy as his mentors and friends in the Academies slowly vanished and he was tasked to divert his energy and resources in projects built atop other iterators leading up to the final public ascension. His precious White City decayed and the last remnants of the Ancients stayed because travel was too risky with how hellish the world had become. His facility degraded too, not having the time to dedicate to self maintenance- unaware of the damage until much later. Eventually the last of the Ancients is gone and Glass finds himself in a silent world with no other purpose but to find the solution to the Great Problem.

...And as Glass finds out soon after, he hates the Great Problem. His specialty is in practical solutions, and while perfectly capable of theory craft as designed, it all bores him to tears. But there is no more purpose in building when the ultimate goal is to destroy.
...He still does build personal projects despite himself under the pretense of 'practical applications of memory cleanup and neuronal self-refreshing' (aka 'I am taking a break') as he thinks about the said problem up until Long Awaited Arrival, the group's 'senior' despite being his youngest sibling, contacts him with an... interesting proposition. A very practical solution. Glass immediately agrees.

...The end result of which... did not turn out well.
