Setting
⇀ Up Until Now
The US saw a shift in its democracy and justice system around 2030. People around the country were being arrested on unknown accounts and weren't to be seen again. Deputies assured that prisoners were safe and were going to be given a fair trial but none ever occurred. Resistance groups were quickly put down and civil rights slowly stripped.
In late 2031, the symptoms of a new disease showed itself. The iris's in people's eyes began to fade and blend into the sclera, many reported hallucinations and being unable to control impulses. Conspiracies floated around that the government had created this virus to weaken the American people and their ability to resist the government.
In 2032, elections were held for a new President of the United States. A compassionate leader vowing to solve America's corrupt government was elected into office with such popularity that all the candidate needed to do was stay alive to get elected. The new President worked hard to fix the state of the government but as the weeks went by, their eagerness was fading. They seemed to be less ambitious to pass laws fixing the rights stripped from citizens during the previous years. They seemed to interact with the press and the people less, and whenever they were seen, they seemed dazed. The vivid confidence that had once lit their eyes had faded. The bills given to them for the people's rights were getting vetoed now. The people were confused and devastated that their president, who so compassionately vowed to help the American people, was now turning against them. Nobody in the government seemed to be interested in helping the people.
Resistance built up but was always violently put down and discouraged. Anyone suspected of being in a resistance group was arrested suddenly and disappeared without a trace. The disease became more widespread. Any research devoted to the disease was defunded immediately, which raised suspicion among the people. Symptoms seemed to be getting worse, seeming almost rabies-like. The disease had eaten away at some people's irises entirely, leaving an empty white eye left. They seemed out of it entirely, compliant to any command given to them, no matter how violent or self-detrimental. ~
Personality
⇀ Description
Othniel is a bitter, angry individual with no empathy for anyone who isn't a cishet white male with wealth. He's an elitist who believes he is superior to everyone else. He's actually quick-witted and freakishly intelligent. He thinks of himself as a judge for humanity who has been put in place by God to put everyone in their place. What he wants are power and absolute control. He has some really bad ideologies. Believes that whites are superior, people are incapable of making proper choices for themselves, poor people are the scum of society, women are the weaker sex, etc, etc.

- Real bad superiority complex.
- He's incredibly smart and strategic. Good fighting technique and skilled with weapons. However, he can become blind with rage and make rash decisions. He's also physically weak.
- He claims to be Christian but it's in such a skewed and extreme fashion it's hardly the same. Believes himself to be a prophet of God.

Othniel has a thin frame and stands an average height of 5'10". He has pasty white skin from low sun exposure and brown eyes. His hair sweeps to the right of his face and is a natural auburn color. His cheeks appear kind of hollow and has an inverted triangle face shape. He has square frame glasses. Thin eyebrows.

- His attire is mainly business casual. He may wear a blazer but it's not common. A button-up shirt, tie, slacks, and oxfords.

History
⇀ Background
Othniel came from a rich family and became known as a child prodigy. He excelled in everything, creating a never-ending list of high expectations for him. His parents wanted the best grades from him and the highest scores. They provided the best education for him and because everyone thought so highly of him, he developed a superiority complex. He believed that he was better than everyone else and acted like it. He had no friends because of this. He found friends through the internet, however. He perused through forums of people who were just like him. The type of people he saw had the same type of ideology. Othniel adopted it and also became more involved in religion. His family wasn't religious and Othniel became ashamed of this. As part of becoming a born again Christian, he adopted a name he felt suited him better. While his birth name was Beau, he decided that Othniel, the first judge from the Bible, was a better choice for him. His ideology became more radicalized and he became angrier and angrier at the people around him. He decided that he must take the reigns of society into his own hands. This lead to his creation of the virus that eats at the nervous system and makes people submissive and easy to control. Othniel was able to infect the entire government and assume control.
⇀ Family
Othniel comes from a wealthy family. From the time he was born, it was expected of him to take over the family business. They had high expectations for him, which he exceeded. Little "Beau" turned out to be a child prodigy, excelling in every subject. His family enforced strict rules and expected him to fit a mold. They also pretty much gave him anything he wanted so he never learned to take 'no' for an answer.
Relationships
 ⇀Alex [ Enemy ]Alex loathes Othniel. While Alex never originally set out for Othniel, upon finding out that he is behind the whole scheme, Alex feels such and intense hatred for Othniel, Alex loses all rational thinking when in his presence. Othniel too feels a strong distaste towards Alex, however, it's more out of intimidation mixed with a feeling of Alex being inferior. Othniel begins to get worried that he and the group might actually be capable of taking him down or at least beginning a large uprising against him. Othniel wants Alex eliminated at all costs but also wants to toy with Alex to show that he is indeed superior to him. |
 ⇀Anna [ Enemy ]Othniel hates Anna out of his disgust for the group, women, disabled people, and fat people. She thinks he's superior to Anna in every way possible and considers her a low threat but underestimates her. The feeling is mutual as she also hates him and thinks even after everything, he's just a coward. |
 ⇀Olivia [ Bad ]Othniel's feelings towards Olivia are abominable. He views her as everything he could ever want from a girl (other than being not white). She's small, physically weak, cute, and submissive. Because she's part of the strongest resistance against him, he thinks it would be a great accomplishment to get her to submit to him. He's disgusted that she's a lesbian but has the disgusting mentally that he can "fix" her. Olivia is absolutely disgusted by him. She wants to vomit upon seeing him. She hates everything about him. She is also terrified of him. |
 ⇀Brook [ Enemy ]Othniel hates Brook out of his hate for the group, women, and the disabled. He thinks of her as inferior in every way and considers her a low threat because of this. Brook hates him, his bad ideology, and she wants to personally beat the shit about of him. |
 ⇀Buddy [ A threat]Othniel has made a number of attempts to stop Buddy's research but has failed each time. He can't have Buddy find the antidote to his disease or it will destroy the empire that Othniel has built himself on. |
