Neba

Neba is a solitary god, who exists to create shadows and darkness and thus complete and contrast the work of the Heavenly Siblings, Orobael and Saobael. People generally tend to forget him and see his contribution to the world as a given and not as something he gifts them.

Personality

Seeing as Neba is commonly forgotten by humans and only exists as the concept of darkness to them and not as himself, they don't really have any personality traits assigned to him. This, coupled with the fact that he is a solitary god (meaning his domain is not split with sub-gods helping him) ends with him not being well known. 

The few other gods who interacted with him before, tend to not like him, thinking him weird and too intense.

His real personality is one full of contempt at the humans and gods, for constantly being forgotten. Neba is fairly sure that without him, they would not function as well, not shine as bright and thus really should pay him respect. While in the beginning he would have settled for simply being accepted, this morphed over centuries of what he perceived as mistreatment. By now he wishes for nothing more than for the Heavenly Siblings and their light to vanish. He blames them for his status, full on missing or not yet ready to accept, that he really just wanted people to care about him and see him for what he is. He is scornful of others and not above using underhanded means to reach his endgoals. He is so set in his plans to eradicate the gods who wronged him, that even if someone was to care about him now, he would not stop them.

He can be quite obssessive with things he has taken an interest in, trying to keep them as close to him as he can, out of unwillingness to lose even more.

History

Contrary to what everyone believes, it wasn't Orobael who killed Saobael, it was Neba. Finally his status as a constantly forgotten being seemed to pay off, as again, no one payed him any mind, blaming Orobael instead who soon fell to earth, as his powers ended up failing. The world soon found itself consumed by twilight, complete darkness only warded off by the God of Fire and those gods, who worked under Orobael and helped him lighten up the night sky.

At first Neba was content with that, sure of the fact that now other beings would finally need to aknowledge him. Yet that did not happen. To them darkness only came because the Heavenly Siblings fell and not because he, Neba, had created it. Again he was only a passive counterpart to the 'beloved gods' and again, he found himself full of anger. The final straw was reached, when he found a small group of travellers, who held onto a flame that seemed surprisingly like Saobael in warmth, making him realise that Orobael would seek them out to help revive his twin.

Now his goal was to get rid of that flame and destroy those who dared to carry it.

Abilities and Powers

• Enhanced Physical Capabilities: He is stronger than any human, thanks to his status as a god. While he isn't as strong as other gods, he is still able to hold his own in a fight.
• Enhanced Regeneration: As is befitting for his status as a god, he has the ability to heal quicker. He can still lose limbs, he can still die, but injuries will fade quicker than they would on any human. This also comes with the fact that after a god dies, they can be revived from their essence, given the right conditions. 
• Embodiment of Darkness:  He can move from shadow to shadow and through the night as if it was nothing. Nothing is blocking him, if it is dark enough. He can also discard his physical form in darkness/shadows and become one with it, which does not only serve to allow him to travel faster.  

Trivia

• The ''colors'' in his default pic is how he looks, even if it would be broad daylight. He does not have any color at all going on.
• Neba is not really a god in the sense that all the other gods of their world are. 
  • He existed before them and, in a way, he will exist after them. Darkness not always being known as Neba but existing nonetheless. 
• Has sharp teeth
• Strangely enough he likes a good challenge
• He is a big fan of ravens and hopes to one day convince the other gods to make him a species of nocturnal ravens
  • Until then he is in denial about the fact that they are diurnal.
• Has a surprisingly good singing voice
• The feather-like growths in his face are a sensitive area
• The cape on his back is actually able to transform into wings
• Is often shrouded in shadows and darkness and thus can only be spotted if he wishes to be spotted. 
  • Can drag others into that darkness as well.
• Hates Orobael and Saobael but views the other gods, who try to ward him off, as mild annoyances and not up to his standard. 
• He wears armor under his clothing (mostly not in plain sight on the upper body, thanks to the outer layer) and under the armor a thin layer of padding against scuffing
  • His armor may appear quite thin, but it is surprisingly sturdy
