summary
Zeke is a young pro hero just beginning his career after having graduated university and working for a short time as a sidekick underneath Night Chime at Everglide Agency. However, when Night Chime was injured and went overseas to train with another pro to help them learn to reuse their quirk, he was suddenly saddled with the responsibility of running a hero agency on his own. Though the weight of his new responsibilities were tough, he expected everything to go back to normal after Night Chime returned but over the course of a year Night Chime grew more distant, eventually leaving them with the final notice that they had decided to permanently move to Japan to pursue a new career with their boyfriend.

Zeke is a shy person who wants nothing more than for people to feel safe and understood. He does his best to avoid conflict at all costs, even when it would be a detriment to him not to confront it. Because of this, he's prone to making assumptions.
Some would say that he relies a bit too much on his quirk, Empath, which allows him to feel the emotions of other people or swap two people's emotions by touching them. He'd much rather understand someone's feelings than talk anything out, though he often refuses to tell others his quirk for fear that someone would want to misuse it. His quirk also makes him prone to skepticism, as he has a hard time believing people's words unless he knows what they're feeling.
Zeke suffers from PTSD due to experiencing the emotions and pain of victims of disasters.

Empath is an emitter-type Quirk that allows Zeke to swap emotions with someone by touching them. He can also swap the emotions of two people by holding their hands. The more physical contact he has with someone, the stronger he feels their emotions and vice versa, making hugs one of the most effective ways to use his Quirk. If he maintains contact for long enough, he can swap a person's thoughts and physical sensations.
He uses his Quirk to help people stay calm while they're being rescued and to better understand their injuries.
Zeke is not able to experience his own emotions while he's swapping, but he can still experience his own thoughts unless he maintains contact for too long, then he can't tell the difference between his own thoughts and feelings vs someone else's. Even if he's still aware of his own thoughts and feelings he can still remember how the other person felt, so Sherbert suffers from PTSD from experiencing the emotions and pain of people he's rescued.

Winnie is Zeke's mother. They have a very tight relationship, Though Zeke is afraid of confronting her about his usage of weed to self-medicate as a way to cope from his trauma. It's somewhat of an open secret, as she can smell both his stress and the weed because of her Quirk, but she doesn't want to bring it up if he's not ready to. She believes as long as he's using responsibly, there's no reason for her to worry. Despite her lax attitude with his habits, she's extremely protective over him to the point that Muse's mistakes in their relationship with Zeke have caused a rift between Muse and Winnie, despite her not being involved.

Muse and Zeke have known each other ever since he was a young child, and Muse took him under their wing after they learned he also wanted to pursue a hero career. When Muse started their own agency he became their sidekick but after Muse's injury he agreed to take over the agency while they recovered, but when Muse left for Japan and never returned he was left feeling abandoned and replaced by Present Mic.
The truth of the situation is that Muse knew the news of them moving would be difficult for Sherbert to handle, so they wanted to tell him delicately, but instead ended up telling him far too little, leading him to believe he had been abandoned. This incident has completely destroyed their relationship and subsequently affected Muse's relationship with Adelaide, but Muse hopes to someday mend it.
