Summary

Bowtie is a dandy who is always formally dressed with her signature purple bowtie, often with a smug grin. She takes great pride in her appearance. She is smug, mysterious, confident, calm, friendly, dreamy and free spirited. She escapes boredom and is often found travelling looking for a new adventure (aka getting herself into trouble) She is pretty skilled at mixing drinks and whenever she is in need of money she will take on working as a bartender. She likes to pry secrets from others, however she wont disclose much about herself, no one even knows her given name.

  • Bowtie is a nickname that she used from a young age on, she will never tell you her real name and will get irked if you ask too many questions
  • She hates not being able to wear her bowtie (or being forced into casual wear in general) and she will behave noticeable different for it. Aside simply being vain theres sentimental reasons behind it

The bowtieverse is similar to reality in a lot of ways. Her life is set in a pseudo-american setting in an ambigious blend of the jazz age, swing era and the 1980s. Technology available is mostly reminiscent of the 80s with some exceptions, never more advanced.


CHILDHOOD

She has no memory of her biological parents. She was taken in by her uncle (her only remaining family) from an early age on up untill her 16th. Her childhood was curious but generally happy. She has been homeschooled and has been a bit isolated because of it.

TEENAGE LIFE

After the disappearance of her uncle at she was left on her own with their old house. Knowing that she couldnt stay there on the long term due to expenses she used whatever money she could gather to buy a car and fake documents. Fortunately for her she found out that her uncle had a small appartment to his name in a city further away. She moved in the appartment and still resides there to this day.

Towards the end of her teenage years she took an evening course in mixology and eventually became a bartender.


ADULTHOOD

She spends most of her days traveling, working behind the bar and getting wrapped up in mysteries. At some point she meets a jazz musician that she drags into adventures
