Sparrow keeps her "modern day items" (AKA the clothes she was wearing when she was summoned to Askr and whatever else she had on her like her purse and the contents ect.) in a special chest that the Askr siblings provided her with. She keeps them safe because they are the only things to remind her of home. Sometimes when she gets homesick she will sit in her room in Askr castle and look through the contents of the chest and cry a little.
Sparrow wants to return home but she also wants to remain in Askr at the same time. It's an internal struggle for her. Also all the fighting and summoning other heroes and putting them in the same situation where she doesn't know if they'll ever get to go home. But at least can offer some comfort by summoning their friends and family whereas she is completely alone besides the new friends she makes and the whole other "having watched the other worlds and characters through her dreams so it feels like she knows them" type headcanon.
All her life she has had these insanely detailed dreams of other worlds and the people who live there and their stories ect. AKA She dreams the plots of the FE games. So she feels like she KNOWS these Heroes but they are all clueless about who she is and how she knows so much about them. And when she meets some of the ones she has the most emotional attachment to she will burst into tears. Some Heroes find her empathy endearing and stay close by her side and become such loyal and loving friends. But others are cautious and keep their distance and don't trust her. And so part of her misses her real life but it also just feels like a piece of the puzzle is finally in place where she starts to understand these dreams and meet the people in them.
Sparrow eventually come to terms with her new life and such but always worry about what her family thought happened to her and wishes she could let them know she is OK.
She will stay in the Fire Emblem Heroes for the rest of her life, UNLESS FEH ever discontinues service. Then she'll be sent back to the real world and cut off from all her new friends and family. Only able to access them once again watching them through her dreams. Her wife, Gunnthra will be able to reach her with her dream abilities, but they will never truly be together again.
Fallen/Possessed!Sparrow
Inspiration was from the Fallen Heroes vs Regular Heroes Voting Gauntlet & chatting with Erandia.
In the first round I supported the Black Knight and at one point was ranked at 666th place and managed to capture a screenshot.
Ruri: "THIS JUST IN. HEROES!SPARROW IS APPARENTLY THE DEVIL. RANK 666 IN THE GAUNTLET. On top of Black Knight just got a bonus. So. I'm just imagining Heroes!Sparrow with devil horns and an evil grin with Black Knight by her side ready to DISH OUT SOME HURT!!!!!!!!
Oh my god tho. FALLEN HERO!SPARROW. LIKE THE THEME OF THE BANNER. FUCK. I NEED THIS. I NEED THE HURT. GETS POSSESSED BY MÚSPELL/EMBLA AND FIGHTS AGAINST ASKR AND NIFIL AND OH GOD. brb I'm gonna brainstorm this."
Sparrow is gradually influenced/possessed by Múspell/Embla. She seems unsteady on her feet and in her battle tactics. Sharena: "Sparrow... Are you feeling OK? Are you up for this battle?" Sparrow: "Y-Yeah it's just a headache." NOPE NOPE NOPE she becomes completely possessed.
She breaks away from the Askr forces and is taken in by Múspell/Embla. Askr is forced to retreat due to the devastating loss of their summoner. They feel very guilty letting Sparrow get possessed because it was their responsibility to keep their summoner safe. They must come up with a way to get Sparrow back safely.
The Black Knight ends up going with Sparrow when she is possessed. One of lines of the Black Knight is "I am here to protect you." So he goes with Sparrow to protect her even in her possessed state. He doesn't care which side he fights for, he is just fighting to protect his summoner. The Múspell/Embla forces just kinda shrug and allow it due to him being a "villain" before. (Also just kinda a nod to how the whole possessed plot got started.)
Loki fawns over Sparrow due to her "overly friendly" (creepy) tendencies in the story line. Gunnthrá is NOT amused. (Ruri: "GUNNTHRÁ IS GONNA STOMP ON LOKI WITH HER HORSE.")
Book II, Chapter 1-5:
Loki: Oh, wouldn't you just know it. I lost. How strong you all are... Especially you, Summoner. I've taken a little bit of a fancy to you. Yes, you, [Summoner]... Here's hoping we meet again, my dear! Hee-hee!
Erandia: GUNNTHRÁ TRIES TO CALL OUT TO SPARROW SINCE SHE'S KINDA UNCONSCIOUS IN HER DREAMS AND YKNOW HEART BREAKING STUFF
Sparrow: "I-I didn't want to hurt t-those soldiers! Please s-stop me!"
Eventually they manage to free Sparrow from their grasp. But the damage has been done and things will never be the same. Sparrow remembers every moment of what happened when she was possessed. The people she betrayed, the pain she inflicted, the innocents she slaughtered. Sparrow doesn't trust her own mind after what happened, fearing that she could relapse into her possessed mindset. Which thoughts are hers and which thoughts belong to the influence of her possession? (Kinda like Bucky Barnes from the Marvel Movies.)
Gunnthrá is constantly by her side, using her abilities to try and help her with the nightmares that plague her whenever she sleeps.
