Background:
Yao Lian was born in china 23 years ago to a villain father and a hero mother. He inherited traits from both of them. Lians father has dark green hair and brown eyes he has a shadow quirk that lets him stop people in their tracks if he wishes or sneak around in the shadows. His mother is a kind lady who shows her emotions on her sleeves a lot like her son who is just as easy to read and has the Yellow eyes Lian inherited, She has a lightning quirk and their quirks combined made Lian's dark lightning. Lian got his kleptomania from his mother Lian stayed out of trouble until his teenage years when he was caught stealing he spent a night in jail where his father showed up and broke him out instead of paying the fine and getting him out the normal way. The police now looking for them quickly caught up to the family of three and arrested his mom and dad but Lian slipped away and fled to japan. Things got settled in china with his mom and dad but he choose to stay here sense he had a life now in japan.
Determined to start a new life Lian tried desperately to keep kleptomania in check after all he had no one to bail him out here if he got caught. He did pretty well for a few months and then fell back into a pattern of stealing just little things at first that grew into more expensive things more noticeable things. He got better at sneaking around and picking locks and other things and found he could get away with it but he still kept himself in check to not become well known thief and get the attention of heroes and police.

Description:
Yao Lian is a short guy with long light green hair that reaches his waist witch he keeps pulled up into a ponytail except wile he's sleeping. Lian has bright golden eyes that are partially covered on the left side by his long hair. He has a fuscia pink and orange colored tattoo that runs from his face all the way down a good portion of his right arm across his chest and then down the left leg.
Lian's villain outfit is a mix of things he found in his closet and things had made including his most iconic piece of his villain outfit his black cat mask witch covers half his face leaving his mouth exposed or he wears up in his hair out of the way. On days where he isn't wearing his villain outfit Lian can often be seen wearing his favorite jacket witch is light pink in color or in the colder months a black sweater and occasionally a jean top witch he leaves unbuttoned over a plain white tee over all though Lian tends to wear sleeveless tops because they cover his tattoos and he likes to show it off.
Personality
Lian is fairly easy to read he's unable to hide his emotions in the slightest but that doesn't mean he expresses what hes feeling. He's a good lier when it comes to other things and can be pretty convincing and a smooth talker when he needs to be. Hes loyal to his friends but doesn't have or keep many. He can be kind to those he likes and cold to those he doesn't. Hes pretty curious and this can get him into some troublesome situations.

Quirk: Dark Lightning
Type: Emitter
Description: Lian's Quirk allows him to generate lightning that then can be controlled and used as either a weapon or as a barrier to keep people at a distance. He has good control of his quirk witch can range from small static shocks to aggressive attacks that can range a good distance around him. His lightning is black in color
Advantages:
- can shock those who touch him, leaving them slightly paralyzed.

- doesn't work against some quirks such as anything rubber related or other electricity related quirks
Equipment:
- Cat Mask: His most well known piece of equipment it can act like a shield to protect his face or head its made of hard material. It also protects his identity so he can move around freely when he wants to.
Cat Cards: They all look the same he uses these to leave behind when he steals an item to let people know it was him. The cards have a black cat on the front and a rouge pink back to it with a diamond pattern with a white border

Lian's father has dark green hair and brown eyes he has a shadow quirk that lets him stop people in their tracks if he wishes or sneak around in the shadows. He is a villain who like Lian doesn't do much fighting with heroes but more sneaking around causing trouble in other ways more suited to his quirk. He broke Lian out of jail instead of getting him out the normal way.
Lai Ming | Mother
Lian's mother is a kind lady who shows her emotions on her sleeves a lot like her son who is just as easy to read she has the yellow eyes Lian inherited, She has a lightning quirk she had trained as a hero wile in school but choose a different life after falling in love with the villain Yao Jian who she later married and had Lian. Lian got his kleptomania from his mother
Friends:
Fumikage Tokoyami+ Dark Shadow | Acquaintance
Lian met Tokoyami and Dark Shadow during his time internship with Hawks. Lian and Dark Shadow get along really well Dark Shadow thought they should listen to Lian and pay attention to him after Dark Shadow witnessed Lian steal someone's shoes without anyone noticing Tokoyami was reluctant to but didn't dislike Lian.
Shoto Todoroki | Acquaintance
Lian met Shoto though Tokoyami, they hung out with once or twice and went out for lunch. Lian hangs out with Ren much more because they are closer in age then he is with Shoto.
Ren Todoroki | Best Friend
Lian met Ren though Shoto one day and discovered they were almost the same age. They started hanging out and texting hes a good friend to hang out with. He'll always show up when Lian complains of being bored. Ren doesn't seem to mind Lian is a villain as long as Lian doesn't intentionally steal from him. They sometimes fight each other for practice but don't seriously harm each other.

Also known as the pro hero Hawks. He is just infallibly kind to Lian making it hard for Lian to be mean to him. Lian finds it amusing hes a cat who has a crush on a bird. He secretly wants a hug from Hawks one with Hawk's wings wrapped around him too.
On their fist meeting Hawks was surprised that Lian has asked if he can have his jacket. Later he set up a situation where he could steal the jacket and he just has another one he can put on because he wanted to see the Cat Thief again. Lian never gave back the jacket
Enemies
Endeavor| Hates
Lian has little to no contact with Endeavor he simply hates him for how he treats Hawks and also his friends Shoto and Ren who are his kids. He once challenged Endeavor to a fight but once he showed up and Lian saw how much bigger Endeavor is then him and more muscled Lian ditched him to find out on his own Lian wasn't showing up for the fight. Sense then he avoids face to face encounters with the hero but will steal things from him when Lian finds something he needs or wants.

- He avoids fighting well known heroes and people who are clearly better at fighting then he is
