Fergus

My main OC and my one true love.

  Backstory

Fergus is a Turkish man but he wasn't for long before being scooped up by an organization known simply as the Society.  There, he along with 11 other children were each given unique abilities and superhuman physiology.  They were trained and formed into the perfect soldiers, the Defenders of Earth, and Fergus, also known as Amp, was their leader.  Armed with the ability to sense and manipulate others' emotions, Fergus became a force to be reckoned with and certainly not one to be underestimated.  Sometime into his mid to late twenties, though, the Society shut down and the Defenders were disbanded, forcing him to conform to normal human society along with his girlfriend at the time, Valerie.  To this day he's haunted by the mistakes of his past, particularly the death of his team member and Valerie's brother, Norman, the disappearance of his artificial son, Connor, and the rift cut between him and his now ex, Kane Lightwood.

  Personality

Almost famously gruff and tactless, Fergus doesn't handle the diplomatic part of leading the Defenders and leaves that to his best friend and second in command, Jean.  Beyond being unapproachable and moody, Fergus's kneejerk reaction to a stressful situation is always anger, and it's not always deserved.  Peel back that mask, and he's often depressed, detached, and a prisoner to his own guilty conscience.  To his friends and family, though, he's obnoxiously stubborn, an occasional flirt, and a force of selfless love.  That selflessness extends only to his loved ones, though, and Fergus isn't above scorning anyone outside of his inner circle.
