Sayumi is sweet, bubbly, and always ready to make a new friend or go on an adventure. Her energetic and optimistic nature can often inspire those around her. One of her most notable traits is that she is very talkative. She can go on for hours talking about the current news, telling stories, or just discussing random topics. People can easily get annoyed by her, but she doesn’t usually notice unless someone says something about it. This can sometimes make her feel insecure, but when she encounters people who don’t mind, she gets excited and lets out anything on her mind.
When in battle, Sayumi is more focused. She’ll act seriously when faced with real danger, but in a controlled environment, she tends to taunt and act playful. One of the few ways to get on Sayumi’s bad side is by being cruel to her loved ones. She does her best to ignore it when she’s being personally insulted, but when faced with injustice for others, she will not hesitate to defend them and isn’t afraid to face a challenge no matter the size.
On the inside, Sayumi is more insecure about certain things. She worries about how well she does in school and how strong she gets. She also thinks about whether or not she bothers people when she acts so energetic, even if nobody mentions it. Although she acts like it doesn’t bother her, and even retorts back, if someone is mean to her it does make her sad from time to time. Despite all of this, she keeps a smile on her face just like her idol, All Might, and tries to spread happiness wherever she goes.

This quirk allows the user to store the kinetic energy that they create in their body by moving throughout the day. The faster and more often the user moves, the more energy they store. This energy can then be used to perform feats beyond the user’s normal abilities, such as running or moving extremely fast. The user can also use the stored energy to reinforce their muscles, allowing for stronger attacks and defenses.
Sayumi most often uses her quirk to boost her speed and to reinforce her leg muscles to allow her to go faster and longer without her legs giving out. Kinetic Force is a combination of her parents’ quirks. Her father’s quirk, [Father’s Quirk Name], gives him super speed while her mother’s quirk [Mother’s Quirk Name] allows her to use her body’s energy to open portals to transport people or objects from one place to another. With training, Sayumi will be able to unlock new ways to use her kinetic energy.

- The energy the user collects throughout the day is limited and if not used, will disappear. This is especially true when the user is sleeping.
- Depending on the user’s stamina, the quirk can be used in bursts of varying lengths of time.
- When using the quirk for boosts in speed, the user must develop a better reaction time to avoid running into objects and hurting themselves or others.

CHILDHOOD
With her mother being a Pro-Hero and her father being an ex Pro-Hero, and now working from home, Sayumi had a good home situation from the beginning. Her mother was usually out doing hero work, so most of the time her father was looking after her. She was born and raised in Musutafu, Japan, and only ever got to travel outside of the city during family vacations or school field trips. Ever since she developed her quirk, she wanted to become a Pro-Hero like her parents before her. She was mostly inspired by her mother, but her inspiration to be a hero grew even more after she and her father were involved in an incident while out in the city against a villain. She was captured by the villain but was soon saved when All Might intervened. Since then, she had become a huge fan of his.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Sayumi went to Aldera Junior High and continued to develop her quirk so that she could apply for U.A. High School. She made quite a few friends during her school years because of her bubbly and exciting personality. Her extracurricular activities included track, dancing, and some gymnastics. She made sure to stay active to increase her strength and stamina for her quirk. All throughout her school years, her parents supported her and were proud of her.
HIGH SCHOOL
When it was finally time for her to move on to high school, Sayumi applied for U.A. Her parents asked her if she wanted them to help her get into the school via recommendation, but she refused. She wanted to show that she could get in on her own. During the tough entrance exam, she impressed the school with her speed and intelligence and was accepted into the hero program.

Sayumi and Todoroki met at the start of their time at U.A. when Sayumi saw Todoroki sitting alone and decided to chat with him. He didn't know what to do at first, but let her talk. Since then, he's grown accustomed to her presence and hangs out with her. Todoroki doesn't engage as much in their conversations, but Sayumi talks enough for the both of them.
Out of all the other girls in her class, Sayumi gets along with Mina the most. They're both energetic and social and love to hang out together, whether it be going for a morning run or shopping at the mall. With all the selfies she has on her phone, Sayumi takes most of them with Mina.
