LIU THE POTION MAKER
BACKSTORY
liu was born with the power to talk to and interact with plants. as a child, they began to make potions using ingredients they would find in the forest and the tools in their family's brewery. when their family's irish-chinese fusion bar began to struggle to make ends meet, liu decided to head off their own path as a freelance witch, dealing mostly in herbology and potion making. in their freetime, they also tend to their miniature garden, which is carried everywhere in their pack. often times liu is reckless when it comes to dealing with wildlife, and will definitely throw themselves into danger to protect nature.
REPUTATION
in the countryside, they are known as "cloverchild", which to them is the dumbest nickname anyone could've given. however, the name does precede them as there have been minor rumors about their character that reach the big city. upon reaching the capital Brookespring, they met rosé, who enlisted their help in creating a witchery business. in the capital city they began to make connections with other members of the witching community, and currently is working together with several of them in a project mission by the name of "wintersphere".
RELATIONSHIPS
they don't talk much to their family due to the clovers initially not being very receptive to liu's abilities, but after liu's departure and up-and-coming success in Brookespring, they attempted to make contact again. liu isn't extremely happy about it, but does acknowledge their family's help in cultivating their powers (read: they felt guilty about using their family's tools in secret to brew their potions). the one family member they do like though is bud! bud, the younger cousin, is also on the quirky side, and in the past they used to team up a lot.
aside from rosé, liu has begun to talk to sorcerors, witches, wizards, and other magic-users about their craft. they constantly seek improvement, and can be inspired by many people. their interest in other magic-user's craft makes them somewhat popular as a newcomer in the Brookespring witching community.
