Profile

Nature-based warrior and aspiring hero. Their dragon's name is Rhizome

He's a bit of a dork and can be careless/clumsy sometimes. He's also extremely determined and has a heart of gold. He tends to keep his true emotions extremely close to his chest and stubbornly projects a fascade of cheerfulness and optimism almost entirely regardless of the situation. He tends to be very forgiving too no matter how unhappy he might actually feel about it deep down.

He's extremely interested in botany as a side-hobby, and likes to go out researching rare and often dangerous types of plant. The scars on his face are from a particular encounter with a sapient and extremely aggressive patch of brambles. When he eventually retires from adventuring he'll probably go back to studying plants tbh.

They end up dating Zhoom. I don't know how or why yet I'm still working out the details but he deserves to be happy. In book 3 Zhoom helps keep Thorn well-informed about what the Sandsea Rose are up to, and in return Thorn shares what he's learned from the rest of Greenguard.

Thorn has a specific outfit for visiting the Sandsea because his regular armour would melt him alive in the desert. His Sandsea armour is both naturally cooler and has enchantments to keep the metal from heating up from the sun. It's not as good for defense though so it's really only something he wears when he has to- also it's expensive as hell so in book 1 poor Thorn really just wandered into Duat in full plate armour and gave himself heat stroke. So one of their first interactions with Zhoom was just him watching Thorn pass out in the street. He wasn't impressed
