A tiefling warlock character I made for a one-off D&D session that has slowly turned into a very beloved character with her own plot and long backstory oops. Basically, she serves a diety she calls The Librarian and now she collects books and knowledge to contribute to a library that exists between worlds. She's also constantly hunting down books of power that were stolen from the library in the past.
The Librarian takes the form of a very, very large snake and so every time Tarot uses magic it takes on a snake-like appearance one way or another. She occasionally uses a book to cast her magic but it's not required for her to do so.
Her personality is sweet and outgoing but due to how often she travels from place to place she carries the air of a loner too. She's very driven in her goals and has a weakness for learning new things. Knowledge often comes first for her, and self-preservation second.
Some character design traits of note would be the snake earing around her right ear and the runic markings on her arms. The designs of the markings don't have to be exact but the general shape of them is snake-like as well, with the vague indication of a head around her forearm and a tail ending on the back of her hand. I keep flip-flopping between drawing her horns bent and straight, as of right now I consider either version to be correct. She also has a little yellow pet snake she calls Temperance
So to sum up, books, magic and lots of snakes lol
