Please make sure it's possible to put clothes on the design without too much hassle! I'd prefer the design has at least two legs for this reason.
Stuff I always like:
- somewhere between humanoid and anthro
- more limbs and/or eyes than humans usually have
- "monster" elements (horns, spikes, stitches, fangs, odd shaped ears, blank eyes, odd shaped pupils etc.)
- combining feminine and masculine elements
- cute designs
- creepy designs
- designs that are both cute and creepy!
- I looove a well thought out color palette but don't have a particular preference for what kind
- effort and detail put into the outfit. Layering and accessories please! This includes makeup and piercings
- fashion styles: goth, militaristic, modern sporty, futuristic, punk, rock (especially if it's combined with pink and lace)
- elements that make for good drawing practice. It can be odd materials like jelly or crystals, or light built into the character, or realistic skeleton parts poking through.
Stuff I don't want:
- ferals
- normal humans (please add some monster elements and/or an unnatural color palette if you want to do a human-ish character)
- simple designs
- too many colors or patterns unless you're confident you can do it well
