Always Keep Moving

Katharina "KC" Cronstorm lived most of her life in the Narrow Reality. Her mother, a huldra, and her father, a human wizard, migrated to America several years before her birth. Her father was an accomplished wizard and used glamours to disguise his family's supernatural qualities from mortals. Her parents were aware of Manta Carlos, but disinclined to make the move as they were firmly settled in the States.

KC grew up among the mundane, hiding her supernatural nature. Until she left home to attend college in another state she was kept under powerful glamours that made her appear plain and unassuming; a dull and drab version of herself. With begrudging help from her father, she crafted a glamour that would hide her tail and hollow back, but leave the rest of her appearance intact.

KC was hugely popular in college thanks to her supernatural beauty. It brought her a lot of attention and admiration. Back then KC loved the attention. She felt invisible her whole life and now people were finally seeing her. She double majored in theater and dance. Her first year of school was simple and easy. Then she met Mr. Duvall.

Mr. Duvall began to stalk KC. He followed her around campus, found his way into her general education classes and constantly tried to talk with her, give her gifts. He was obsessed and it scared her. KC went to great lengths to avoid Mr. Duvall, and even reported him to campus security for stalking. Campus security claimed they could find no evidence of wrong-doing.

After that, KC became withdrawn and only left her dorm for school reasons. When she did leave her dorm she made sure she was never alone at any point. In her self-isolation KC found escape in videogames. She joined various MMOs and FPS shoots. When her computer couldn't handle the games she did research and built better computers. Within a few months, however, Mr. Duvall found a way to ruin this escape. He found her online, and continued to stalk her in the games.

KC had enough and quietly transferred to a new college in another state. She completed her degree and though Mr. Duvall was gone, the feelings of paranoia he fostered did not. KC took an aggressive approach to life and tried to ignore these feelings. She drifted across the country, partied like there was no tomorrow. The paranoia never went away. KC had enough, she had to go to the one place Mr. Duvall could never follow. KC moved to Manta Carlos.

Her experiences led her to joining the Scouts and undergoing training. With the new Scout structure she went into the field investigation branch. KC hopes to do good and that maybe Scout training will help her feel secure.
