Ceiba is an ex-miner who suffered from some mutations due the exposure to the substances of the mines. He decided to quit his job and gather a group of disgruntled people to make secret tunnels and avoid the highly guarded bridges to get to the other islands.

His idea is to get better resources which have been denied to them and things that are just to be enjoyed, as he believes that just because they are poor that doesn't mean they aren’t less deserving of having fun and leisure time.

One rainy day he meets Eryhtrina, he helps her cover from the acid rain and he wants her to join the group.

He thinks of himself as a cool and tough guy, but ends up acting rather silly and sometimes even annoying. They still respect him for his tactical intelligence and plans for the tunnels.

His mutations are not visible at first glance, most people tend to assume that the change he suffered is the shape of his ears, which are pointy, but he had that modified on purpose.
In reality the mutation caused him to have some warts and blemishes mostly on the skin of the legs, and a cicatrization problem, his wounds take a bit longer to heal than average and these would tend to leave scars.
