Duncan lies very often. In fact, he does it all the time to manipulate others. He hates doing it, but it is what he was taught to do and he doesn't know how else to make others support him.

Personality

Duncan is a handsome and charismatic man with a tendency to step on others to get ahead. He takes pride in charming people, especially love interests. Most people he knows associate him with red roses and Duncan believes that only those worthy deserve to recieve a rose. He speaks very formally, both by nature and his desire to maintain his charismatic approach. He pairs the attitude with his suit, which you rarely see him without.

Duncan is very expressive and he often has a smug smile or a look of disgust plastered on his face. His pupils and irises shrink to signify intense emotions and his wrinkly face adds to the spooky expressions he makes. He will make a creepy, toothy grin when he's feeling a bit chaotic, and people know to avoid him when he starts to act like that.

Duncan is a huge nyctophile and he finds immense comfort in the darkness. When he's working in his office during the day, he usually has the blinds shut and the lights off to calm his light sensitivity and help him focus, but he will use candles if he feels like it. His sleep schedule is very messed up because he is willing to sacrifice sleep just so he can spend his nights adventuring alone in the darkness (he finds many pretty views this way). The light from the moon and stars is what calms him and he will stargaze on most nights to clear his mind. Unfortunately, his lack of sleep causes him to suffer.

His depression feeds his alcohol and drug addiction, and his lack of sleep makes him very irritable and cranky. He is still very young but his face has aged due to the addictions' effects. He will often lash out on bad days, or if he hasn't had his fill of drinks and pills. When he's super drunk, he's wild and fun to hang out with and he usually spends his drunk moments partying with his packmates (mainly the girls).

Life

Day after day, he finds himself even more lost than the last. The Death Pack is his home and has been his only home since he was born. He can't leave, even though he would like to (the pack would hunt him down and punish him) so he chooses to embrace the villain lifestyle. He will do whatever he can to prove to his alpha that he is worthy, even if it involves tracking someone down and slaughtering them so they don't interfere. He has risked his life and has taken the lives of many to assert his dominance and stay high in the ranks, because one minor setback could ruin him. He doesn't want that.

His desire and main motive in life is to be on top. His "eternity" would allow his story and legacy to live on for genrations, and he would never have to feel scared and worried that someone above him on the hierarchy would kill him and he would drift to the afterlife a failure. After all, his path was chosen for him before he was born, and he chooses to accept that fate and embrace it with open arms.

Backstory

The Death Pack had a cruel idea that they felt would benefit them: a young and strong person that would dedicate their life to the pack, and one that could be their "weapon" against any trouble that could jeopardize their missions. Duncan was the chosen weapon, and he was raised to be nothing more than that. A young child surrounded by adults his whole life learned their cruel and vile ways full of crime and abuse, and he grew scared of what might happen to him if he didn't act like them. He began to act tough and more violent and his packmates praised him for that. He realized that if he kept this up, he could stay safe. When he was a little older, he began to work out to become more physically strong.

WIP

• His fiery colors are the result of a rare genetic mutation that occured when he used his fire magic for the first time. The mutation was so sudden and unknown that nobody knows what caused the reaction.
• Duncan struggles with depression and he often engages in sex and murder to get an adrenaline rush of excitement. When he can, he will do drugs and drink.
• He likes the concept of eternity. The idea of infinite time and the endless afterlife intrigues him. He brought up this concept multiple times with Laura.
• In his homeland, his name means "destroyer".
• He occasionally wonders what life could've been if he wasn't born into his pack. He doesn't know enough about himself to think of an ideal alternate career that doesn't involve crime...
• The suit Duncan wears was a gift from his mother from when he was a child. She wanted him to wear it as an adult so he would appear approachable, and so he could lure people in for the kill. She passed away before she ever got to see him wear it and Duncan wears it constantly as a memory and for the effect it has on others.
• He has a small garden hidden in the woods where he grows all kinds of flowers (mainly roses). He checks on them every night to make sure they grow sucessfully.
• His favorite weapon is his war hammer. He uses it to intimidate others and smash everything.
• He loves spiked collars, dark clothes and piercings despite wanting to appear formal. He did his tongue, ear, and eyebrow piercing himself. He wanted a septum piercing as well, but he decided against it.
