): Astra had a rather normal childhood, being the single daughter of a couple of normal parents. Her drive and determination when it came to one thing, however, was anything but normal. At a young age, Astra was a huge fan of children cartoons, one of them being alice in wonderland. One cartoon she watched was one where hypnosis was portrayed as an absolute way of getting someone to do what you wanted. She was enamored with this idea and looked for as much information about it as she possibly could online, but most of the information about it was in words she couldn’t understand for her age, so she stubbornly spent most of her childhood using a dictionary, trying to understand each and every word until she finally gained a grasp of what the material was saying. As she grew into her teens, Astra wanted to learn more about the human mind for her interest in hypnosis, so she put forth all of her effort into studying and getting the highest possible grades, simply so that she could enter the most high level university for it’s psychology course. Unfortunately, when she finally made it into the university she wanted to go to, she was appalled by how low the level was compared to where she already was at, because of her early developed mind already absorbing most of it when she looked into it on her own through the internet and old psychology books. She looked into whether the course offered anything new in later years, but it was mostly topics she had already grasped completely, so she quit university altogether. It was also around that time that she realized that the subjects of her hypnotic fantasies were always girls, as opposed to either or like they had been when she was younger. Those same fantasies also became a little more sexual, as she had been ignoring her sexual desires up to that point in pursuit of her knowledge, and she more or less knew that she was a lesbian at that point. Of course, she could still hypnotize/seduce men to get what she wanted if she had to, but if she had a choice, she would always choose girls. Especially strong willed ones, for the satisfaction of watching them submit to her hypnotic control. After being without education and hypnotizing people online (and in real life) to receive financial (and sexual) support to live on her own, Astra became a bit of a lazy neet for a while, unsure of where to go from there at this point in her life. She also started watching anime, as watching animated shows was a comforting feeling that transferred over from her childhood. It was a bit of an early “Mid-life crisis”, and she tried a few things here and there that didn’t quite suit her… although she did like cosplaying, which would eventually lead to her “Work uniform” being what it is. She truly loved hypnotizing people, but she still felt like something was missing in her life, to make it feel more fulfilling. One day, she received a knock on the door. After hastily throwing on something and leaving the previous night’s “victim” of her hypnosis to groggily come to, she answered the door to find two policeman, who informed her that her parents had passed away. Astra didn’t really think that her parents were that important to her, but upon hearing their death, she cried for a bit, realizing she truly cared for the ones who raised her. After some time to let the shock settle, she received more information about their deaths, that it was caused by a botched robbery; they ran into the thief and were promptly shot to death. This made her sorrow turn to rage, but she let the police handle it. After months of saying they came up with no leads, her rage turned to uncontrollable fury. After hypnotizing every single member of the police force for information, she found out that there was no such thief, and that it was a cover up. Apparently her parent’s had pissed off the son of an extremely wealthy family of gangsters and he broke in and shot them both dead. The reason she hadn’t figured out that she was being lied to, was because not every police member was made privy to this knowledge. She took matters into her own hands and hypnotized one of the son’s closest friends for information on where he usually stayed, and took the friends gun with a gloved hand. She then hypnotized every single person except the son who would be going to his place on a particular day so that they would stay away at that time. She walked in, knowing the son was expecting guests, and shot him dead when he came to greet her. When the family wanted answers, the police told them the exact same bullshit story she was given; “It was a botched robbery.” And, likewise, the police would come up with no leads for then and forever. She didn’t need to kill every single one of the family for her to get her revenge. She just needed to make them suffer as she did. And as a fall-back plan, she left the gun used to kill the son at his best friend’s place, “convincing” him not to throw it away or use it. Less than a month later, another knock came at the door. When Astra went to answer it, A certain boss was standing there, smiling, backed by two guards. (Okay, so this next part is taking liberties, as I include those that are not my characters, so if you want to say “No, that’s not what she’d do” then we’ll change it up when we talk next) Of course, Izuna managed to figure out that it was strange the police would give a fake story they had already told to the daughter of the victims. It made her wonder what sort of person could make the entire police force work for them without having political power or massive wealth. Of course, she would know said wealthy mobsters as her security company works for a wide variety of individuals, thus how she came across these peculiar events. Basically, Izuna offers Astra a job at CA, also stating that it would be more interesting than wasting her life and talents away here. Surprised and intrigued, Astra agrees on the condition that she only receives jobs to assassinate targets related to crime. As a counter condition proposed by Izuna, she is also given a job at a certain casino/ to convince certain rich people to buy certain lucratively priced products. Later, using Astra’s prowess in the field of psychology and Professors superior scientific knowledge, they create a pocket watch that mesmerizes those who see it, and puts them in a deep hypnotic trance after a few moments of staring.
