Arabella

Personality/Bio:  Arabella is Mothcat with a very sweet disposition and a bit of a romantic outlook on life. She is very prone to loving other people, mostly as friends and family, even if she doesn't know them that well. If she can tell that someone has a good heart and sees anything in their looks or actions that she finds cute or sweet, it will endear them to her and she will want to look after and help them all she can. This can lead to some people thinking she is "weird" or too forward sometimes, even though she means well. Her parents often tried to get her to learn when it is and isn't okay to hug people or otherwise get in their personal space, but it's a distinction she was only ever able to make with varying degrees of success. She does the best she can, but ends up facing embarrassment fairly frequently. Still, Bell does not let this change her fundamental sweet nature.

When it comes to romantic love, Bell is a bit clueless. She has never felt this way about anyone herself, but she finds love between other people to be beautiful and wonderful and likes to try to pair up others or try to encourage them if she sees they might have feelings for each other. This includes simple things like talking to them about the other person's good points, to more elaborate things like planning dates for them. She has their best interests at heart, but as in other things, there are times when she has gone too far and messed things up. One can only hope that if Bell ever finds love herself one day, it will make her understand it all a bit better.

As for her history, Arabella has lived in many different places throughout her life, as her parents loved to travel and wanted to encourage this love in their children as well. The family spent time in forests and deserts, mountains and wetlands, big cities and rural towns, and everything in between. Bell learned about a variety of creatures and their traditions and ways of life and witnessed countless natural wonders. Some would say she was very fortunate to be able to see and experience so much from the time she was very young, and she would agree to a point. But despite enjoying all the sights and meeting new people everywhere she went, Bell has always wanted to settle down somewhere and make an established life for herself one day. She wanted real, close friends that she wouldn't have to leave after a few weeks and a home she could decorate with her personal stuff and really make her own, rather than a temporary borrowed room in someone else's house.

Now an adult, Arabella has finally decided to strike out on her own. Her parents are a bit disappointed, but are ultimately supportive of whatever will make their daughter happy, so long as she promises to visit regularly (which she has). Remembering several happy stays with extended family in Morel Hollow, Bell has decided to start her new life there. She has heard about her aunt's and uncle's passing, but knows her cousin Chipper still lives there and is sure he will be glad to see her and help her out. The two always got along wonderfully as kittens and young cats, though it has been quite a long time since they've seen each other.

Relationships: 

Chipper: Cousin; the two met several times as kittens and very young cats - perhaps a couple times a year at the beginning and once a year later on - during Bell's family's visits to Morel Hollow. Their fathers were brothers and their mothers were childhood friends. Every time, Chipper and Arabella would spend the whole visit running around, playing together and having tons of fun. Those were some of the happiest times of Bell's life because she got to be among family beyond her parents and siblings, and she felt a connection to them even though she didn't stay with them all that much longer than the friends she made in her family's travels. It was always hard to leave when the time came. Now upon Arabella's arrival in Morel Hollow to stay, Chipper is surprised buy delighted to have his cousin back again and help her start her new life.

Angeline: "Cousin-in-law." Arabella had never met Angeline before returning to Morel Hollow, but finding out how close Angie and Chipper are made Bell love her right away. Anyone who makes Bell's beloved cousin so happy is family in her book. Bell can't wait to get to know Angie better and become best friends!

Kittens: First cousins once removed, but she has them call her their aunt. Arabella hadn't known Chipper and Angeline were waiting for kittens, so finding out she had even more new family members was an amazing surprise! Bell likes to admire the twins and hold them when she can, but it's still kind of hard to get them away from their parents right now. Bell is looking forward to being the "cool and fun" aunt the kittens will always want to babysit them.
