Oza looks slightly intimidating, and she certainly acts intimidating as well. She's loud, rude, and brutal. She doesn't hold back, she doesn't have a filter, and she rarely shows things like kindness or love without some kind of rough remark. She's a bunch of fun to be around when she's drinking, but she can get angry easily and sometimes ends up punching walls or running off to go fight something. Oza is kind, deep down, and cares deeply for people, but to get her to admit that is like pulling teeth. She doesn't like to show emotions, and she never says anything that would make you think she actually cares. Oza might not say these things, but she shows affection in other ways; patting your head, making you tea, making sure you get rest if you're wounded. She keeps her emotions close to her chest, but no one can say she's heartless. Oza loves battle, and will constantly challenge people to fight, or start up an argument. She's not the type to take insults, or challenges, and will always defend anyone she thinks needs it. Oza can show great leadership if put in the right position, but she's too reckless when it comes to her own life, never caring if she dies in battle or not. It would be an honor for her, like most of her company. Oza hates showing the softer side to herself, but if you look close, it's there. If you get to know her well enough, you can find out that she loves cinnamon, and designing kimono, as well as caring for plants and playing the shamisen. There's a whole other side to her that she never reveals to most people. She has too much faith in revenge, and holds grudges forever, never believing people can change. Once you hurt her, that's it, her opinion won't change unless you really go out of you way to prove you're better.

Shikai:

A large flail that’s invisible to everyone but her, due to her blind eye. It’s made entirely of spiritual pressure, and she can control the amount of pressure she uses with it. She can decrease it to nearly zero, making it much harder to detect, and increasing it makes it stronger, up to 10x stronger.

Bankai:

large yellow full moon that appears in the air, hypnotising anyone within 20 feet of it. Once hypnotised, Oza can create images that appear to be attacking you, and you will see them and feel them as if you’re really being injured. However, the images are illusions, so they’re not actually injuring you at all- but they’re keeping you occupied and unaware of her presence, so Oza herself can come along and attack you/kill you/etc.

Backstory

Oza was born into a well known family, in the wealthiest district. She was the first daughter, giving her a special place and giving her family high hopes for her. Though Oza doesn't remember most of her childhood with her birth parents, she knows it was safe and comfortable. When she turned five, Oza still hadn't shown any talent for anything her parents wanted her to do; which was to become a Soul Reaper. She could play shamisen, dance, and serve tea like a high-class lady, but she couldn't fight or use her spiritual pressure much at all. After giving it five years, her parents decided she was worthless to them and their name, and dropped her off in the 80th district, leaving her to die. Oza wandered around, somehow avoiding danger by hiding and avoiding as many people as possible, until she collapsed in the 77th district after not having enough to eat or drink for weeks. She was found by an old woman named Chimiho, who had no family of her own, and took pity on her.

After she regained her strength, Oza trained hard to become able to use her spirit energy and learn how to fight with a sword. Chimiho helped train her, having some skill with a sword herself. The old woman eventually became like a mother to Oza, even being called "Mother" by her. Oza eventually met a man named Jun who she later married. After they married, he completely changed, becoming mentally and physically abusive. During this time, after training for a few years, Oza took the entrance exam to become a Soul Reaper, and passed. She became fast friends with Shinji, who witnessed her being abused multiple times but did nothing. When she finally had decided to leave Jun, he was murdered by a gang in the district for having an outstanding debt with them. Oza wasn't surprised, or sad. She was relieved. By the time Chimiho passed away, Oza was rising through the ranks of the 11th division. After she became assistant captain, Oza vowed to get revenge on the family that abandoned her, and prove that she wasn't worthless.
